I wonder if there will be reversed dungeons?
I think the one change I'd really like to see is making the final battle with Majora a bit harder. That was always the only disappointing thing about the game, and it was easy even if you weren't just going auto-win mode and using the fierce deity mask.
But...the original is 240p. Here's a screenshot of it running at native resolution:

If anything, the 3DS version is actually gaining horizontal resolution over the original. (400x240 2D/800x240 3D vs 320x240)
Also, the controls are MUCH better on 3DS. Or at least they were in OoT3D. Motion aiming with the bow is so useful to the point of it almost being overpowered for the puzzles that require it and the item system is far more streamlined via the touch screen (essentially adding more buttons).
Of course, all the new controls could be done on Wii U as well, but I don't personally mind that it's on 3DS. I think 3DS' power level gives a good middleground where the game can still retain its classic aesthetic and atmosphere without being over-upgraded into HD oblivion. Wind Waker was a good fit for Wii U because it had an extremely distinct style that already looked good in HD without major tweaking, whereas Majora's Mask would require a complete and total redo to achieve 'good' graphics on a current-gen console.

Can't wait for the NA version to totally ruin it with a golden piss filter like both OoT3D and WWHD did.
NA box is the same as the EU's

I'd really love to see a special edition of the game that comes with either lenticular box art, or a lenticular label on the actual cartridge as a bit of a throwback to that sweet lenticular N64 cartridge the original game had.
I'm so happy to still own one.

I hope the 2015 Zelda will get a similarly badass one. And all the future ones.
What a way to get once disappointed 3DS owners who sold their 3DS to purchase a 3DS again.
The box art looks like an anime promo [sp]and I love it[/sp].

Oh shit yes. If it has taken 3 years then I wonder what new stuff is added, and apparently they didn't remove anything like in OOT 3D. And it is understandable that it took 3 years, he probably wanted to add more stuff to his first zelda game but couldn't due to the 12 month limit.
Greetings to everyone in The Legend of Zelda community! Eiji Aonuma from Nintendo here.
Since The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D was announced during the most recent Nintendo Direct, I've noticed that many of you have posted your thoughts in this community. Now, I'd like to say a few words for myself about Majora's Mask 3D, which is planned for release next spring.
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D was actually in development almost immediately after we finished working on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, which was released in June of 2011. So although we’ve been working on the game for quite some time, we didn't want to say it was being developed until we were at a point where we could proudly say that this is not going to be just another remake and that it's going to be worth your time. For a while now, when fans from Japan and around the world would ask me if we were working on a Majora's Mask remake, I would silently plead in my heart, thinking, "Please wait a bit longer!" (laughs).
We've spent a lot of time making sure the gameplay experience is smoother than in the original version without taking away from this unique world. I hope those that haven't played the original game, and those of you that played it but gave up mid-way through will take this opportunity to give the new version a try.
Oh, and I should mention that we haven't removed the distinct look and feel that are unique to this game, so it should live up to this game's Japanese catchphrase, "this Zelda has a scary vibe." Brace yourselves for what this world has to offer! (laughs)
When it's closer to its release date, I'll talk more about what has been changed in the Nintendo 3DS version and its new features right here in this comunity, so stay tuned!
Don't play with my heart now Eiji. This game has got a special place in my heart for that exact reason and to see it softened even a little would be a huge dissapointment.

What did OoT 3D remove? I only recall Ganon not being as cool

Mild censoring of "adult" material.
[editline]8th November 2014[/editline]
But now that they've promised to keep everything intact in MM3D, I can slowly feel my childhood crawling back to me smiling, shaking it's head violently
It'd be nice if they released an uncensored patch for Oot3D.
Nintendo launched the Official Site.
