Updated. Looks smooth here.
also, kids
that's a shitty argument because windows 7 still receives security fixes
Alright then, I use whatever personally aesthetically pleasing thing despite potential advantages for upgrading or switching over to whatever new thing there is immediately. I'm comfortable enough with my probably already compromised security to decide that not upgrading immediately is not going to matter too much. Things can change and I'll probably update it soonish after looking into the customization options of it.
Yey, now it looks like the Windows' title bar has crashed due to graphics artifacts. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/ZdLybDW.png[/thumb] -EDIT- Wait no, I just checked the customizations menu, and there's a button to activate the title bar. I'm okay with this.
it looks like chrome why
Because their main revenue comes from Google. Google was probably like ''Become like Chrome or no cash'' YES ALMIGHTY GOOGLE.
Doesn't seem to like custom windows themes.
So I downloaded it. I like it. I dont know what you're all going on about.
I use Aurora so I've had this for a while now. It's neat.
Switched over, and it works great for me so far. Was always annoyed by the giant Firefox button in the upper-left.
If you can't beat them, join 'em
Firefox is actually faster than chrome in a lot of things and uses far less memory than the newer versions of chrome.
Not really digging curves around active tab but whatever. One problem I have is I can't seem to move refresh button position.
Am I the only one who is half satisfied and half disappointed? It's perfectly fine and I suffer no issues with Firefox, the interface isn't as swift as the early update so it'll take a bit to settle in. It doesn't look very much like Chrome either, just adding the 3 bar button doesn't really make it any more like Chrome.
I like having my File Edit View History Bookmarks Tools Help above my tabs.
That menu dropdown is really nice. Chrome's sucks balls.
My friend told me about this beforehand and I immediately disabled auto-update. Close call. I'm perfectly fine with outdated software security as long as the features I rely on remain intact.
It's not even security that's the problem, it's for any new language support for shit like jQuery and all the rest. They get added on, and performance updates and stability. It's this kind of attitude that keeps silly people on Windows XP.
Just updated and besides the menu button changing into a chrome-like menu button and the tabs having rounded corners, there's really nothing else different visually. Oh, the "Go Forward" button auto hides if you can't go forward, that's nice. I don't like that I can change the position of all the buttons and stuff EXCEPT the menu button, unless I missed something.
Honestly, this is pretty cool. A bit weird on XP because there's no transparency and stuff like on 7 so that huge blue bar at the top looks weird. The customization options are nice though, really nice..
ah nvm
Hah, it seems Facepunch's flagdog is having trouble with this new Firefox, at least it's not flagging me right. Oh now it did, fuk u flagdog.
I just updated, and honestly, I like it. Everything feels less cluttered and the webpages feel bigger, if that makes sense. Like, you can see more of the web page.
Yeah I know what you mean, my webpages were so much smaller before So glad I updated
I updated and I feel like an old man that just walked into a redesigned supermarket.
Yeah I know what you mean, my webpages were so much smaller before So glad I updated
I love how this browser has so many toolbars, many of which probably have security problems - and yet, this guy is still security conscious enough to have NoScript. Scripts Partially Allowed.
Why still separate search bar
Why still separate search bar
You can remove it and use the location bar to search.
Why still separate search bar
Here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/omnibar/ Afaik, google doesn't let firefox integrate the two.
Afaik, google doesn't let firefox integrate the two.
Are you sure? I can search using the location bar just fine with no addons. [editline]29th April 2014[/editline]
they also removed spacers and seperators
Yeah just noticed that too, if you had them before they stay after the update and you can move them around, but if you remove them after the update they're gone.
Are you sure? I can search using the location bar just fine with no addons.
It's a privacy thing - The address bar can't predict if you're going to type a url or search so it would have to search everything you type in it to get suggestions.
