I hear that it is Jem, which as a cartoon/toy line for little girls. The plot was basically the same as 'Hanna Montana' in that it is about a girl who is secretly a pop star. Well the same expect more 80's.
From what I've heard the majority of the cast are female but the entire crew (including the writers and the director) are male.
I cannot possibly see how this can fail.
Hasbro also contracted the work to an advertisement company who had done commercials for them in the past. So it's already got the excessively blatant product placement. Although there was one woman on the crew who wasn't a voice actor.
But memory serving that died years ago and Hub is only still re-running it because they have nothing better to put on at 3 AM. But I suppose that since they still remember it exists they may eventually dig it up to exploit.
There's a few things wrong with that statement.
First one is TMNT had a show before the movie on Nick. It still runs today with new episodes. The movie wasn't needed, the franchise wasn't dormant.
Same deal with Transformers, except on Cartoon Network.
The only good thing to come out of the Bayformers were WfC and FoC.
i'm guessing you don't actually watch both shows, do you?

No, he's got a point.
Transformers and TMNT were very active before this movie.
TMNT had the 2003 series, nick series, the 2007 CG movie, Transformers before Bay had the Cybertron Trilogy and Robots in Disguise.

Jem is one of those classics on par with the old spiderman cartoon
he-man is going to be young, played by someone like channing tatum but less famous. skeletor is going to look super dark and edgy, and he-man's tiger thing is going to have a big reveal in the movie because they can sell a lot of toys of it
also, the whole thing is gonna take place on earth as he-man and his buddies use a portal or something to get here, just so they can milk all the potential they have with fish-out-of-water jokes (also because he-man has to fall in love with a generic love interest)
Shia Labeof as he-man
generic black person as skeletor
megan fox as he-mans babe

Micheal bay wouldn't do it because he wouldn't be able to shove explosions of X product into it
[editline]9th August 2014[/editline]
unless he steals the exact plot from thor
does anyone remember when Michael Bay made *decent* films?

oh wait that's the only good film he's ever made
If you were at the right age, yeah, they probably were. I don't know if much has changed, honestly.
i mean i watched all the TMNT movies as a kid and i honestly doubt they hold up today
got dragged to it, it made no sense and was filled with tons of plot holes.
[sp]like splinter the rat knew all of the shredder's plans, the guys he works with, their histories and that the turtles had some syrum in their bodies yet he's been underground for like 30 years...and never met the shredder....[/sp]
can't wait for a tom & jerry live action movie directed by michael bay
One of the writers from transformers is already doing a live action reboot of dumbo the elephant
Wait, the transformers movies had writers?
Michael Bay presents: He-Man and the Masters of the Universe
I'm not going to lie: I would watch a Masters of the Universe reboot. As long as Skeletor was completely unchanged.
You could completely throw out the setting. You could cast Megan Fox and Shia Labeof as every other actor. You could make Orko the main character. But as long as a buff blue wizard with a skeleton face showed up and went "NYEH HEH HE-MAN" in the middle of it all, I would be able to stomach pretty much anything else thrown at me.
By the way Michael Bay didn't make this. An even worse director did
was this guy paid or something?
wow i hope that someday i will be able to make something that seems like it has actual characters but doesnt
i'm guessing you don't actually watch both shows, do you?
Actually I have. I love the Unicron Trilogy, at least the first part. RiD was a nice series. For you to say that Transformers was dead before the movies came up just shows you don't factcheck well.
As for TMNT, the 2003 series was actually pretty great. The Nick series is eh, and the 2007 movie was alright.
And to recap, you're talking to someone who has Skywarp as their avatar.

With a whiny and nasily voice to boot.
But... but... the girl's voice on the radio said that if I'm a fan I'll love it and if I am not a fan it will make me one...
