1% isn't though. 1% is especially low, seeing how Jihad is an acceptable practice in the Koran: albeit one that isn't nearly as violent, aggressive, nor disrespectful as Al Qaeda's approach.

Some people assume I'm a pothead because I have long hair, but I've never been told I was an awful person just for having the physical features that I can't choose.

I used to get made fun of a lot, and physical attacked a couple of times for having a boyfriend at the time. I had to keep it a secret. I know people who hide things they are, and I've done it too, just to avoid peoples hate. It's no way to live - it's unfair. I've heard stories of Muslims children mercilessly bullied to the point where they had to hide it.
When I used to date an Islamic girl, people would give her weird stares and shit given that this was after 9/11, I wish these ignorant people would actually listen to what people have been saying for years.

Not only are they people I can watch NHL with, but they are the most friendly people in existence. I really wish I could use this to convince one of my friends that Muslim people are normal just like us. But she hates them with a passion, thinks they're all terrorists (and a burden on Europe) and it really hurts me. Some of my best friends are Muslim and they're some of the most interesting people I've ever met.
