Jill Stein: There is a Plan B for Sanders' Supporters looking to waste their vote
275 replies, posted
The argument for Sanders supporters voting for Clinton, or the inverse spoiler effect occuring, is based on the assumption that Sanders supporters and Clinton supports, generally, share the same principles as both candidates are very similar with regards to where they stand on policy.
Yeah, supposedly. We already know from 30+ years of her presence in this game that she's an avid liar. Picked it up being a lawyer to defend pedos I guess. Almost everything Hillary claims to support right now she has claimed the opposite within the same political context. A lot of it doesn't effect me but the campaign against Rockstar and games content censorship in general was a memorable and direct affront to not only my values but also an industry I love and one of the most infuriating notions in it in my opinion. Plus their campaign attacked my favorite comic shop when I visited last, their campaign headquarters super close to the area.
Trump is the farthest you can get from an SJW. He tweeted some nonsense about games but it was old and a tweet isn't comparable to a whole campaign/suit. He has yet to mention it. I'm thinking of asking him myself in a tweet or something so it's clear if he'll respect the entertainment under 1st amendment that the Supreme Court ruled.
Obama called it 8 years ago "she'll say anything and change nothing".
As far as games go Reddit's gamers are very abundant and so are the Bernie people, sometimes it feels like their headquarters. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of them still remember Hillary being like Jack Thompson, and since ggers, Bernie supporters and gamers congregate there at the same time Trump's support subreddit is constantly hitting the amount of votes to hit front page of /r/all, wouldn't be surprised if the community is the #1 conversion zone.
I say community because the admins are trying to stop Trump and find an excuse to shutdown the subreddits without making a martyr. They tried to get /r/european to move there in hopes a mass racism would happen, deleted articles in /r/politics critical of Hillary and ones fair to Trump, then told the sub to stop pointing it out (direct messages from the actual admins of the whole site).
I would have been seriously considering it if he won, I've mostly been undecided but lately heavily leaning toward third party. I think when it came down to it I would have voted for Sanders.
Doesn't matter now and you're avoiding the question.
Voting out of spite is throwing your vote away. They're not mutually exclusive concepts.

Wait your single issue is the video game industry? And your voting Trump because he's not an SJW?
The post directly above yours that you starred even says vote out of spite not policy.
It's a prime example of how Hillary peeps are doing Trump a service by annoying people with stupid statements like "vote only Hillary or we get the bad man!" "A vote for anyone else is a vote for America on fire!"
Also it's my understanding that ratings are irrelevant and that we aren't supposed to post about them, especially not as a point.

Well you're entire basis was that you hadn't seen people supporting Trump for reasons like that, that his policies were similar to Sanders when clearly you'd already seen the one above yours if you rated it.
Heres others from about a minute of googling America Burns Facepunch on Google.
God damnit, I cannot wait for Trump to win the general elections. Watching everything burn is going to be a beautiful sight.

Bernie's pretty much lost. But I'll be damned if I go anywhere near someone who literally campaigned for a segregationist. She's potentially more dangerous than either of the republican candidates. Her husband passed Don't Ask, Don't Tell and she honestly didn't give a damn about healthcare until bernie proposed medicare for all.
I'm defecting and voting for trump.
If he's facist at least I can watch the world burn.
I have no respect for someone that votes in the general election as a way to show people up online, or even worse because they legitimately think it will hurt their country.
Wait your single issue is the video game industry? And your voting Trump because he's not an SJW?
How did you draw this out of that at all? I said that one of the most memorable things I hate about her (and the one that directly affects my life and plans for the future the most) is her disregard for the 1st amendment (especially applied to my favorite entertainment industry) and that she's an avid liar and piece of shit for 30+ years. I also pointed out Trump wouldn't give a fuck about SJW whining. I never said I was voting trump or anyone at all (oh yeah I forgot I vote trump by default if not Hillary, my bad)
Did you gloss over the fact that I recalled her being the opening scene to devils advocate when she was a lawyer and that she lies constantly and can't be trusted to have the same values as consistently as a random number generator?
You're even saying again that if you vote Trump it's out of spite. The entire point of American elections is to vote for who represents your own interests.
Same question to you: third party or Trump, which is it going to be? I'm throwing away my vote (and thus don't count) or I'm voting for "the enemy" and again, don't count. Maybe I like some of Trump's policies and he does represent me a little bit? Did you ever think of that? I'm guessing not, because I smell the stench of tumblrina on you:
you do deserved to be shamed for abusing because someone said something mean to you on the Internet.
Riiiight, so it's abuse when I don't do what you want? Nice to know you believe in my "rights" so much to shame me!
If what Trump says about half his issues is true (I highly doubt it) he represents me on a select few things that count. So no, I'm not "abusing" my "right" at all. Instead I'm picking an alternative because I am so sick of Hillary's supporters so much that I'm going to choose the antithesis of what they want, even if he does get elected I'll maybe, possibly get a fraction of my interests pushed forward. I doubt it, but I know the alternative that "making a statement" and voting third party has a snowball's chance in hell of getting my guy in office. Either way from my perspective my vote is going to do something: either I'll shake up the electoral process in my own little way or I'll keep Hillary out of office! Win and win!
Keep it up though, because the more spiteful I get and the more you try to shame me the more radicalized and defensive I'm going to get. That was my whole point originally, and you still haven't figured it out.
Voting out of spite is throwing your vote away. They're not mutually exclusive concepts.
Actually .Isak. and the other Hillarites have been encouraging us to "vote strategically" so maybe, strategically, I want you people to fuck off.

More so if all of your posts in political threads defend trump to the death it can be assumed you support him. Just like you're assuming I'm talking about this over Clinton when I'm talking about this because people are talking about voting out of spite and ruining America.
And no I remember you making a long post about how Clinton is the Jack Thompson of politics, not sure where that came from, and that Trump is not a SJW, again not sure what you're trying to say. Oh and you didn't say she was devils advocate. You actually said Clinton lies to defend pedophiles.

I'm not sure how you thought posting that you would vote of spite was meant to come off as you liking his policies. Spite inherently means you don't actually care.

You sure about that one?
I'm not sure how you thought posting that you would vote of spite was meant to come off as you liking his policies.
That's probably because you don't know the definition of "spite" but that doesn't actually matter anymore. I elaborated a bit further on what my views are, so sticking to the "h-he did it to s-spite me! :(" narrative is irrelevant.
[editline]11th June 2016[/editline]
Aside from definitions of words and my political views, I have to know what you would want me to do here. I'm not voting for Hillary Clinton so tell me would you rather I vote third party or for Trump?

Yeah have you seen devils advocate? Watch the opening. She did literally that. Worse than actually.
Is telling people that shouting racist and other such BS about Trump in an act of desperation is stupid the same level of support as literally telling people to vote Hillary or America will burn?
Is saying "use word of mouth and evidence to judge no matter your target" support of him? If so yeah. This is how you create people like JJF and the "k voting trump" response I'm talking about. you tell them they're trump supporters for being: inactive, reasonable, anti-SJW, anti-Hillary etc
If you're gonna strawman, pester, psychoanalyze and apparently stalk people for not liking Hillary and telling them they're trump supporters like some form of Godwin, you only create more die hard trump supporters.
Edit: also you don't have to "remember" my post, it's right there to read

If you're saying you're going against your principles to vote Trump out of spite you're saying you're reason for voting is "a desire to hurt, annoy, or offend someone", unless your favorite polices also all go against your principles. Which is exactly what I said.
edit: in response to your edit obviously you should for whoever follows closest to your beliefs which if you were a sanders supporter and are in a Jill Stein is probably her. But voting for anyone because of non-political reasons is about the same as people who vote Clinton for being a woman.

I've said this plainly and I have moral reasons to do so, partially because I don't think Trump is quite so genuine and I do disagree with him strongly on some things. Voting for him would mean going back on my word, but if it means keeping Hillary out of office (which is a major goal of mine) and also pissing off you and your ilk, maybe that's just what it takes to make me toss one in for him.
What the fuck is so hard to understand about this?
Yeah I try not to remember people until I find them to be especially a consistent pest or cool dude, because I don't really care for bringing it up in another thread for bias and ad hominem.

Literally what you are quoting says she probably learned lying to get ahead from her days as a lawyer. In which she defended that guy that raped a 12 year old girl.
Have you never heard about how much lawyers lie to win cases?
So if someone is a lawyers it's okay to tel people they lie to defend pedophiles? If anyone was getting accused of that for no reason I would be contesting this too.

There's literally no downside to this sort of voting, which is why I don't understand why it hasn't been changed to this method. Canada needs such reform as well.
Even Germany could use it, since we have a 5% cutoff to keep parliament manageable and prevent a repeat of some of the Weimar Republic weirdness.

"Lying to defend pedos", a single case in 1975 she petitioned the judge to recuse her from at the start of the trial, and with no evidence of lying.
a major decision on the future of your country is hinging on making people on the internet upset?
It isn't hinging, and I guess hyperbole doesn't exist in the UK.
