Harriet Tubman to replace Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill

WHAT IF I TOLD YOU THERE WAS A RAILROAD
So a friend of mine just asked if anyone else found it a little ironic/funny that we are paying tribute to a black person by stamping them onto a piece of cotton.
Eh, who cares who's gonna be on the bill. When's the last time you closely inspected a $20 bill other than if you work at a store and have to check if it's counterfeit?
I mean, we have commemorative stamps, if [insert person here that you like] isn't going on a bill you could always get them on a stamp, which realistically probably exists because there's shitloads of commemorative stamps. I know for a fact there's both Harriet Tubman stamps and Andrew Jackson stamps published by the US Postal Service.
Like, yeah, it's another way to honor somebody, but come on, it's not that important. A statue, a scholarship, a school, stuff that helps people is usually more meaningful because it helps people, and pretty much every famous historical icon has one of those already. Basically this whole thing is a non issue, it's just another day in America, realistically this changes nothing but rap lyrics and the occasional redneck breaking every $20 he owns into two $10s or four $5s. Yay, I guess?
Not that Tubman isn't well deserving, but it'd be more fitting if it was a Amerindian to replace Jackson.
I mean some folks want to talk about pasts getting forgotten, let's remember the first Americans.

The Treasury probably checked that category off already when they started making the Sacagawea coin

Also those coins are way cooler than any dollar bill could possibly ever be.

It's a shame really, would have been a great thing to put more western post-revolution scenery on the back with a Native on the front. I mean I love the 1776 period, but most folks also think of America as the wide open country with lots of beautiful natural wonders, not just a handful of government buildings that were imperative in the founding of our nation on the East coast. We need more action on our cash. On the back of the Lincoln 5 there's a picture of his monument in D.C.; That's great and all, but why not put a grand battle scene of the Union fighting the CSA showing the courage that all men showed in the great schism of civil war and showing that the freedoms we enjoy were not given, but won.
Anywho, I don't think most Americans would object to a dollar with majestic plains of Nebraska or the stunning forms of the Grand Canyon or Monument Valley with the image of Geronimo or Sitting Bull or any number of famous Indians on the front.
Hell put Ira Hayes the Pima on the bill and slap the Flag Raising at Iwo Jima on the reverse, people wouldn't complain about that on the 20.
The only thing I can't agree with is when you say "people wouldn't complain about that on the twenty".
As great of an idea as these are, there's always gonna be someone complaining.

Yeah, that looks nice. I'd use it.
Can we also replace our $1 dollar bills with $1 coins?

It's going to be weird having new $20s.
The new $100 I could deal with easily because I never have $100s, but it really doesn't matter to me anyway because I'll probably get used to it in like a week :v:
