wat
WAT
Lots of people are dumb when they can't save an old man.
If I was there I would drag him out by his arms.
I'd grab his legs and.... oh.
This is really sad, but you can't put the blame on everyone else for panicking for their lives. I know I'd say I'd definitely save him, but if it actually happened, I doubt I would.
Easier said than done. The guy probably weighs in excess of 250 pounds and he is a living human being, not a sack of potatoes, so not as easy to carry. Don't forget that standing up makes it harder to breath as the air is quickly filling with smoke and the intense heat of the nearby blaze physically compels you to leave immediately.
It's easy to sit here saying we'd all be a hero in that situation, but I'm willing to bet that none of the people in that restaurant were "evil". Our natural impulses, "fight of flight", can go beyond our ability to rationalize a situation.
I'm pretty sure what he was saying was that he lost respect for democracy, because people can be utter dicks (as evidenced by the poor old man's death).

For one, I'm fairly sure he posted in the wrong thread on accident. For two, what on earth would that have to do with the Republic of Turkey's government.
