Wonder if it could be Nemesis. Will just have to wait for the results of NASA's WISE telescope.
Space Banditos.
Maybe it's a portal from future earth, where mankind has a polluted and frozen planet, and is trying to get rid of it all by dumping it into a portal that leads to the past. Eventually, the stuff from the portal will cover our planet and we'll have to open up a portal that will be used to dump the dust and ice into the past

Someone call leeloo!!!!
Its earth's asshole neighbour.
Y'mean Mondas? Probably the Cybermen then. But in all seriousness, this thing is cause for deep concern.
Incorrect, it's the Turians attempting a crude preemptive strike.
It's only a matter of time until they finish their calibrations.
Asking if some tiny chunks of ice and dust could affect the movement of planets is like asking if dropping a grain of sand off a building will kill a person.
They do affect the orbit of planets, just not by much, like maybe a millimeter.
[img_thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/03/Kuiper_oort.jpg[/img_thumb]
Looking at this made me think if huge ice planets are forming in the the Oort cloud that have strong gravity.
What a dickish object.
Obligatory Reapers and "Ah yes Reapers" here [img_thumb]http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100206110822/masseffect/images/6/69/Reaper_fleet.png[/img_thumb]
My name is Bolo Santosi...
Calling it now.
I scream, you scream, we all screm for Ice dust.
It does, by small amounts. The distance is probably tens of thousands of AUs, while Jupiter's is only 5 AUs. Its effect on us is 10^-8 of that of Jupiter's. At such a great distance it orbits really slowly and the effect distorts the system in approximately one direction during human timescales. It doesn't create a wobble like the other large masses in the system. Such a wobble I think would be a bit more noticeable.
Not to mention that any wobble it does cause has been occurring since that mass started orbiting the sun, so the effect is as old if not older than the earth.
It's probably some massive baby cosmic entity that just spawned and doesn't know what our planet is, so it's throwing pebbles at us, like what a kid does to a bug he's never seen before. Now it's only a matter of time til it reaches the stage where it picks us up and eats us. :ohdear:
Maybe it's an anti-star! :aaaaa: /sensible answer
Unicron.
GET TO THE SHIPS! IT'S OUR ONLY HOPE!
It's throwing Chemical X at us. Prepare to be puffed with power!
Fucking 2012 is this thing throwing the sun at us, I just know it.
I for one welcome our big black overlord. He blesses us with his dust and ice.
