This whole thing is just hilarious.
Ppl gettin' raged. You all mad?
You need to go away forever.
This guy is really getting unfunny now :v:
Guys..?
He probably reading our posts then. I doubt he is a 65 year old author.
It's a simple process really. They knock down one domino and others will continue to fall down until someone stops the effect. By this, I mean those not affected by their attacks should make attempts to make themselves more secure. Find out what exploits they used, look for them in the system, patch them up. Sadly this doesn't make you invincible, as one patch opens another exploit. In a way, it's silly as these company websites get cracked open and siphoned of information, only for them to toss it into the wind, allowing any and all to look and use the information for themselves. Call them what you want, it's just a matter of time before people stop paying attention and they'll get bored and do something else. Or they hack everything and get bored.
If they hack Valve next, then Valve will send them an e-mail asking if they want to work for them. Half Life 2 leak anyone?
I think the Anonymous should step out and hack those bastards.
I'm not supporting Lulzsec on this but you can't throw all the blame to them, I mean, Bethesda has personal information of more than 200,000 people, they should had been more responsible and protect that information better, in the end, you're the one who's getting screwed by these script kiddies, not them.
Yea but everything is hackable as long as you look in to it and spend time on it.
God damnit Minecraft is down again
This isn't right, why are they fucking around with so many autistic people (myself included)?

They didn't just show that different companies have security issues, they exploited it. It's a loose connection but you're saying we shouldn't blame a guy who wants to warn his friend that his tire may be weak by shooting it with a nail gun.
Shouldn't the actual anons be pissed that their games are getting raped by some skiddies?
CCP is the only intelligent company and killed their servers before these asstards got a hold on anything.
Yea but everything is hackable as long as you look in to it and spend time on it.
couldn't they script the accounts info? with proper scripting it could take years to get it decrypted.

Like just informing them of their security holes and not blackmailing them with dumbass demands.
The FBI should put a price on these guys. It would motivate people to get these guys arrested.

They don't have to demonstrate a thing, they don't want to, they could just take your personal info and walk away, and that wouldn't have happened if bethesda would have implemented proper security.
The FBI should put a price on these guys. It would motivate people to get these guys arrested.
Aren't they anonymous? Actually, scratch that, they give out their damn phone number, shouldn't be that hard to trace it.
CCP is the only intelligent company and killed their servers before these asstards got a hold on anything.
CCP usually have their shit together. Notch is just 'meh' about the whole thing it would seem.
Aren't they anonymous? Actually, scratch that, they give out their damn phone number, shouldn't be that hard to trace it.
Could it be a dummy number? I don't think they are THAT stupid to put their phone number out in the open.
Also, they made some tweets about making /b/ users computers into bots. How is this possible? Also, I went on /v/ earlier because someone posted in the original fp news thread they'd tracked them down and wanted to see it for myself. Is my computer infected with lulz-aids? :(
Apparently LulzSec was paid by some guys that were banned from EVE Online to DDOS their site/servers. http://killboard.atlas-dot.net/?a=home
Well that was sure money well spent and i'm sure that CCP will be spending days recovering from the pain and suffering it has caused them
So if you were shot, you would be partially to blame because you should have been protecting your life better.
that analogy has nothing to do with what I'm saying. We're lucky some grayhats were the ones who hacked bethesda and not some blackhats. were the hackers blackhats they would have stole our data. To put it in another context, if some hackers easily got hold of a bank's database the bank would be at blame too for not having proper security. You can implement good security, not just hope some hackers won't come and fuck your shit.

Why can't we arrest these kids already

You are saying that we shouldn't entirely blame these assholes when it is their fault in the first place.
Well that was sure money well spent and i'm sure that CCP will be spending days recovering from the pain and suffering it has caused them
If they actually did pay them, that means there is a money trail. Lulzsec downfall has begun.
