It's better than what Sony done though right? 'PSN is hacked, no worries they won't hit anything else.' Better safe than sorry.
i wasn't being sarcastic i honestly meant its a good way to handle it.
Why are people so afraid for Valve? "OH NO, THEY WILL TAKE DOWN VALVE'S FRONTPAGE AND SAY THEY HACKED IT, WHAT WILL VALVE EVER DO?"
Why are people so afraid for Valve? "OH NO, THEY WILL TAKE DOWN VALVE'S FRONTPAGE AND SAY THEY HACKED IT, WHAT WILL VALVE EVER DO?"
Last time Valve was hacked they quickly contacted the FBI and arrested his ass, and then set up all their security systems.
Last time Valve was hacked they quickly contacted the FBI and arrested his ass, and then set up all their security systems.
Actually the real last time was when their company site valvesoftware was hacked and some useless stuff leaked. Sure the hl2 source leak was their biggest hack, but it wasn't the only one.
Why are people so afraid for Valve? "OH NO, THEY WILL TAKE DOWN VALVE'S FRONTPAGE AND SAY THEY HACKED IT, WHAT WILL VALVE EVER DO?"
People think that because Valve has caught one idiotic hacker who had no idea what he was doing they have some kind of super security and close bonds to the FBI.
I would like to rather encourage such hacker groups to hack Valve, I actually want to see how Valve actually protects our security, if they also fail to something really stupid like sony did. Put them to the test, show how much Valve actually cares about OUR information and games. Valve is looked upon as this big massive scary thing, and nobody even dares to search for flaws in its security. I look forward to LulzSec to punch Valve in the nuts. Just for fun! There could be some massive security hole in Valve and I would rather see hackers from groups like LulzSec going in rather than some extreme profit-mad bastards. I just think it's better if flaws are being found by hackers that generally don't mean much harm

Whitehat hackers exist for that reason. These guys rank as asshat hackers.
I don't condone any form of hacking at all. If a stupid company like EA or Activision got attacked, I would laugh though.
People think that because Valve has caught one idiotic hacker who had no idea what he was doing they have some kind of super security and close bonds to the FBI.
The person that got the leak of hl2 made Agobot, which is a trojan that my computer was infected with in the past. The guy knew what he was doing. But it's just that Valve put on their big boy pants and did something about it.
I would instantly put a pre order on every future Bethesda title, if they posted on their twitter "Lulzsec, put a beard on your mascot or we'll give your details to the FBI" [editline]15th June 2011[/editline] And, apparently /b/ hates these cunts.
And, apparently /b/ hates these cunts.
Indeed. They use shitty emotes like ":3" and "^_^" No way in fuck they are oldfags.
when /b/ hacked something, it was for an actual cause. These assholes just do it because they can.
when /b/ hacked something, it was for an actual cause.
Uh, these guys pretty much epitomize /b/. Causing wanton chaos for their own amusement.
Uh, these guys pretty much epitomize /b/. Causing wanton chaos for their own amusement.
and bringing way too much bad PR for Anonymous and their better causes.
I just don't get why they are doing this. Is it just for fun or to make everyone mad. Or are they trying to be cool? Whatever it is it's annoying. It hasn't affected me yet but I feel sad for the people that it has.
God dammit Lulzsec I wanna play Minecraft! :argh:
God dammit Lulzsec I wanna play Minecraft! :argh:
Minecraft still isn't down is it? I just managed to login.
FBI tracked some of the biggest criminals on the planet who were almost untracable, yet they can't find these guys? :colbert:
i personally support the anons, because I think they are doing the right thing but meanwhile these dickfags shows up and say hey let's hack this company just because is LOL material.

Yeah but that's a bit more of an innocent joke than breaking into someone's servers and stealing information.
You know what someone should do? Someone should do this: That is Lulzsec's website, btw. (http://lulzsecurity.com/)
They decided to ddos Heroes of Newerth too. Great...
someone should ddos their webpage. [editline]15th June 2011[/editline] and i've heard they might hit eve again :smith:
when /b/ hacked something, it was for an actual cause. These assholes just do it because they can.
They say they do it for kicks, that's of course a lie. They are so pretentious and outspoken, it's clear they're doing it for attention.

They're obviously CoD players. "Tango down" and they did not hit Activision. :v:
CoD did not invent Tango Down though.
