They hack Bethesda and threaten to leak admin stuff, then they say that they like Bethesda?
They hack Bethesda and threaten to leak admin stuff, then they say that they like Bethesda?
Do you expect them to think like rational people? Look at the things they do. It's not so hard to believe when you consider that.
Couldn't they use their skills usefully like... use their powers on IGN and check if they actually gets bribed to talk all positive about the Call of Duty games? But seriously, this has to stop. I fucking hate how they're so fucking proud to play around with people's personal information, it makes me fucking sick.
They do it to show that their security sucks. Sony is 1 thing, but hacking a bunch of developers more + a few more stuff isn't showing security flaws anymore. Its just showing off and being a plain dick to just about anyone. When will they fucking stop this shit? I sense Valve is included in this list, as a way to get info on Ep3. If these guys get caught, their in for a world of hurt.
Why can't we have a White Knight version of LulzSec that hacks world leaders accounts and websites looking for corruption? I couldn't think of anyone who wouldn't be on their side.
We do, they care called Wikileaks.
I don't understand all the fuss, it's not like anything of value was lost
We do, they care called Wikileaks.
But their main spokesperson only cares about waving his dick around. The sad thing is, they definetly have talent. Why are they wasting it on hacking shit for "lulz".
Is internet security really that terrible that a group of kids can just roll over the internet and grab all sorts of personal information? Because goddamn, you'd think after the last few attacks, the head honcho's of game companies, or companies in general, would try to make their security a bit tougher.

You can hire as many analysts as you damn well please, they aren't going to get every single vulnerability discovered as new ones are being found all the time.

I'd stay hopeful that it dies down sometime, but if anything, they'll keep going until there's nothing left to crack open, get bored, leave.
They seemed to release the stuff they got from their site on PirateBay. http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/6467131/Bethesda_internal_data
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go rail against the government for trying to enforce laws on that magical untouchable realm, the internet.
Waiting on them to be arrested, I will smile
Next target: Valve. Dun dun dun.
They could NEVER hack into Valve, Valve you fucking rape them in half. Also I hope they don't go after Naughty Dog. :ohdear:

[editline]13th June 2011[/editline] Also, I hate to bother, but I'm getting kinda worried...
So, what, they're not disclosing the Brink info? Also, I purchased and played Brink for awhile, but I don't recall signing up for anything, but I'm concerned if there's any security breaches relating to me. Should I be worried?
None of my passwords are the same per site, but still...it's disconcerting.
What exactly is the sentence for hacking? Cause by now it is multiple counts on many different companies. You can assume they live in the US
Everything is getting hacked nowadays.
Everyone in Lulzsec will end up like Mafiaboy, if you don't know who that is, look him up. It's a really neat read actually.
-snip-
And then Valve ends up being the company that's able to track them down and get them arrested once and for all. All other companies envy Valve.
It's not that hard to be Valve, you just have quit being a total douche and treat your employees and customers with the respect they deserve.

They think they are so WITTY and FUNNY. When actually they are DUMB and STUPID.
Next target: Valve. Dun dun dun.
Could be. Valve is a major corporation with millions of paying customers. Surely if they can actually HACK into Valve, they could have won at this hacking thing. They will get MILLIONS of players CC info, all their emails and alot more. I think Valve is already prepared for this though.
Wait, couldn't Twitter find who made the account?
You said that you didn't sign up on their stats page, didn't you? Then you are fine.
Ah, good. That's a major relief. Thank you.
Wait, couldn't Twitter find who made the account?
Dummy account, no doubt.
Wait, did they hack the publisher Bethesda or the developer?
What is their objective? Anyone on Facepunch know how to not get hacked like their hacking company's and ask them?
I really could see Bethesda saying Skyrim is canceled due to them but they don't actually cancel it. They just say it.
What is their objective? Anyone on Facepunch know how to not get hacked like their hacking company's and ask them?
They seem to have no objective. Stretching a bit, they seem to want to gather attention and want to be known by the world. They've made their marks by cracking into well-known game company sites, and one terrorist site, but there seems to be no real solid goal. Just hacking for the fuck of it, or in their case, 'for the lulz'. They have rather malicious tendencies, enablers if you will, tossing information into the public so they could do whatever with it. They'll get bored of it eventually. All stars eventually die out.
