That's really weird. I'm at 5'11" and I'm generally taller than most people. I'm frequently the tallest one in the room. People have told me before that they wish they were my height; not too tall, not too short.
thats weird, im 5'11'' and when i went to the us, everyone was taller than me

Being 6'3 gets kinda old when your girlfriend is like 5'11 Most people here are around 6 foot anyways.
The inbred island genes finally mutated longer spine
6' master race.
You know, jokes aside, I never really have understood the serious fixation people in the past had on insisting tall height was a key feature to a master race, other than it just seemed like they would be more attractive the taller they were. I mean it's been known for a long-ass time that taller people require more natural resources than shorter people do in order to continue to survive, they have higher risks of cardiovascular diseases and cancers, and some pretty significant physical limitations compared to shorter people (like slower reaction times, reduced endurance levels, and more complications with their bones-- especially their hips and spinal columns). Wouldn't it make more sense to create a short master race? Not super short obviously, but still slightly shorter than average. Definitely not anywhere near 6'.

6"3 is great I am glad I am a tall man
I am 6 feet and I don't feel tall, I just feel like everyone is short.
It's the whole "bigger is better" thing.
Diminished returns everybody
According to /fit/
I swear, this chart moves up every time I see it.
It's definitely gonna go up more though. I'm 6ft 3 but almost everyone I know who is my age is of a similar height.
Humans aren't really designed to be much taller than 6 feet. When you start getting into the 6'5"+ club, the average lifespan goes down significantly. You don't see people that tall make it much past 55-60 most of the time. When a person is that tall, their cardiovascular system has to work much harder than someone of shorter statue because it has to fight gravity. This leads to higher blood pressure and all of the associated problems with it. You also have the joints and bones to deal with as well. Joints wear out much faster, and are more prone to damage during physical activity if they're accidentally bent the wrong way.

Grandfather died of cancer at around 70, so it'a unrelated cause to height. People who are abnormally tall (near 7 feet) generally do suffer those issues, though. Might depend on what you do for a living. I find jogging is a strain at my height, I can sprint no problem but anything that involves high impact extended running is generally bad for really tall people.
Fuck and here I am at 5'3. See you all on the flip side.

I don't think there's such thing as an ideal height. It's a trade-off either way; there are situations where both carry their own separate advantages and disadvantages.
I don't think there's such thing as an ideal height. It's a trade-off either way; there are situations where both carry their own separate advantages and disadvantages.
But taller people are statistically wealthier/more successful
dutch people are insanely tall for some strange reason (genetics??)
last time I checked, I wasn't born in Denmark. Did you mean Danish?
Am I the only one around here who has no god damn clue how tall he is
