But taller people are statistically wealthier/more successful
Does not equal causation.
I'm 1.85 meters tall.
And I am 1.78 Tall enough to hit the balls Short enough to duck and avoid.
According to /fit/
Sweet. 6'5" and made of muscle [editline]30th March 2014[/editline] Once dated a model. Which confused me too. But now, due to some other stuff, I'm terrified of people [editline]30th March 2014[/editline] Short girls can be crazy

My father's gf is around 6'2", makes me feel short even though I'm 5'11".
5'10 here. Bow down to the King of Manlets.
wow, that short?
Anything below 6' is short.
Anything below 6'3" (my height) = manlet.
According to /fit/
5' 10 white male here dating a 4' 9 asian girl.
being 5'9 luckily gets me in the clear for being taller than most girls unfortunately sometimes they're an inch or so taller than me in heels, and I feel emasculated. but then I feel better because I'm south asian and I could have turned out shorter..
Just 6 ft. You guys are so small. [editline]30th March 2014[/editline] Though i do have 2 6.5 ft classmates here. They made me pretty small.
most people are quite tall here. i'm 6'3 along with my sister, my older brother is 6'5 and my little sister is taller than everyone else in her class :v: [editline]31st March 2014[/editline]
being 5'9 luckily gets me in the clear for being taller than most girls unfortunately sometimes they're an inch or so taller than me in heels, and I feel emasculated. but then I feel better because I'm south asian and I could have turned out shorter..
wear heels also and one-up them
Except there is http://www.timothy-judge.com/Height paper--JAP published.pdf
All of this is irrelevant social constructs, not biomechanics.

"Anything above/below [height] is the best/worst. " This thread.
All of this is irrelevant social constructs, not biomechanics.
Since when were social constructs irrelevant? Height discrimination is a real thing Maybe you can publish your own peer reviewed journal saying how there's no link
8'11 here. What's it like being below 8 foot slob race?
I am 6'5", and a big strong guy, so it is hard to gauge who really is short and not just a freak of nature like me. I scare people just by being myself. :(
you know what's funny is that you're considered short, whereas I'm 6'3'' which is considered really tall. There's such a tiny range that looks normal for us. Here's some reassurance, I'm pretty sure you're taller than the biblical Goliath guy.
Goliath's height ranged from 6 ft 9 to 9 ft 9 based on who's account you read.
Dutch people are on average the tallest people in the world. It's because everytime the dykes burst, the short people drowned.
This thread is the reasoning behind "The Almighty Tallest" in Invader Zim
Since when were social constructs irrelevant? Height discrimination is a real thing Maybe you can publish your own peer reviewed journal saying how there's no link
Because I literally never said anything about height discrimination. You missed my point entirely. I never even tried to deny that height discrimination isn't real, it just has nothing to do with fucking biomechanics.
I'm 5'11 and feel very average height. Another example of this is the size of nfl lineman. In the 60s and 70s the "big" boys were 250-270lbs, and there were maybe 1 or two guys in the whole league over 300, now every team has 15+ guys well over 300lbs. Obviously it's partly due to training and emphasis on size, but humans as a whole are growing bigger.
Because I literally never said anything about height discrimination. You missed my point entirely. I never even tried to deny that height discrimination isn't real, it just has nothing to do with fucking biomechanics.
So why did you even bring up biomechanics and why is it relevant? I never said that taller people were biologically determined to be more successful
I am 6 feet and I don't feel tall, I just feel like everyone is short.
whenever i pass another male and i observe he is below 5'11" (i've gotten good at this) i yell out GET ON MY LEVEL as i crane over his horrified face
dutch people are insanely tall for some strange reason (genetics??)
Copenhagen is Denmark though. [editline]31st March 2014[/editline] Also I'm 6'5"/ 195cm if anyone was wondering.
Smallish gap between rich and poor (has a bit grown over the years), which resulted in better food for everyone around (and more exotic food at the time new parts of the world got discovered), and that got passed on in some genes. Doing a decent 5'9 [editline]31st March 2014[/editline] Besides that there was a big "get shit done" food attitude which make everything look bland to other countries. And time used to eat dinner is way shorter compared to other countries.
You're below average in height though. Poor you.
