I was bullied for the entirety of my elementary school years and most of middle school, so I can relate to this dude. I can understand snapping and, say, pushing them, punching them once or something, but stabbing? Come on. That's a bit over-the-top if you ask me. No one deserves to die JUST for being an asshole, and he nearly killed that one girl, it sounds like.

It's an act of desperation probably from a feeling of helplessness. People making your life hell and with there being no way of stopping it can drive you near insane, I know I went through this kind of bullshit.
I feel really bad for the guy. Potentially ruined his life because of 2 silly little girls.
amazingggggggg. you got meee ha ha ha. (User was banned for this post ("put more effort into your posts here." - postal))
4 years is low considering he stabbed a girl in the face...
Four years in prison is already really long though.
-snip, ninja'd-
"I feel sorry for the next person that calls him a name."
uhh is there something not right about this or is it me?
uhh is there something not right about this or is it me?
I find it sad because it shows the girls dumb family have learned nothing from this, trying to play themselves off as the biggest victims here.
I find it sad because it shows the girls dumb family have learned nothing from this, trying to play themselves off as the biggest victims here.
yeah she shouldn't have been calling people names but he also shouldn't have been stabbing that girl in the face
Four years in prison is already really long though.
Jail
yeah she shouldn't have been calling people names but he also shouldn't have been stabbing that girl in the face
Why do you think he stabbed her in the first place. The girls are at fault her for picking on him in the first place, he stabbed them BECAUSE they were bullying him.
uhh is there something not right about this or is it me?
them not understanding the reason for his flipout. them not understanding how much bullying affects a person. god knows i've flipped my shit a few times. it involved chairs being thrown. and door locks being broken in another instance.
I find it sad because it shows the girls dumb family have learned nothing from this, trying to play themselves off as the biggest victims here.
Everything that woman said was retarded in its own way.
"The injury has left a scar on Leah's face that will be there for years."
Wow no shit that's what getting stabbed do. Besides "it made my daughter less pretty" isn't a fucking valid argument against someone.
"I don't think the sentence was enough for what he did. He admitted he flipped and it was the final straw."
Isn't the point of prison to not do the same mistakes twice ? If he knows he did something wrong then it makes sense his sentence is shorter. What a bitch.
"I think he is a dangerous man given he flipped like that and attacked the girls.
That's not for her to decide. Flipping out once under certain circumstances does not make you a psychopath.
"I feel sorry for the next person that calls him a name."
What a snarky bitch.
Flipping out once under certain circumstances does not make you a psychopath.
what about stabbing someone in the face over a tired old harry potter joke? does that make you a psychopath?
yeah she shouldn't have been calling people names but he also shouldn't have been stabbing that girl in the face
Do you honestly think he just decided to stab some girls because they called him harry potter? This is a case of some serious long term abuse that's fucked him up psychologically. The girl will have a scar but she'll be fine, he on the other hand will have had his entire life destroyed. It isn't a matter of whether he was justified, this was done a warped state of mind, a state of mind that was caused by abuse from people like them. They created their own monster.
what about stabbing someone in the face over a harry potter joke? does that make you a psychopath?
The article does say he was being bullied constantly at his school and people tend to flip the fuck out when under so much pressure. Turning over-aggressive isn't the most exceptionally violent and impressive thing a stressed person can do, even when it involves a lot of stabbing and punching.
what about stabbing someone in the face over a tired old harry potter joke? does that make you a psychopath?
Not really, he isn't a psychopath, he's just disturbed and depressed due to being bullied for so many years, who knows how long these girls have been verbally harassing him, it could have been months to a year for all we know.
his life would be well intact if he hadn't stabbed anyone in the face
Are you being stupid on purpose or what right now.
Jail
Regardless it's still really long.
his life would be well intact if he hadn't stabbed anyone in the face
No, it really wouldn't because he was clearly already a mess. They just made it even more of a mess.
Guys, they didn't just fucking call him Harry okay...
One touched his shopping bag before verbally abusing him and telling him he resembled Harry Potter.

his life would be well intact if he hadn't stabbed anyone in the face
You know if he came to stab a girl in the face and smash another one's head in it wasn't out of a sudden fit of rage. The article makes it pretty clear he did not jump on them the instant they uttered a word and beat the fuck out of them, and it also makes it pretty clear the whole situation had been boiling up for a noticeable amount of time.
the mother feels "sorry for the next bully" I have no sympathy for girls who willingly taunt a response from disturbed maniacs.
All this anti bullying shit, trying to stop people from harassing others with words while in high school. Yet they do it anyway, then they throw their arms in the air and have fits because someone who had been the victim of their verbal abuse, quite possibly daily, over a duration that would get on any persons bad side. So he blew it. He overreacted, but people always bully the ones that they think won't do anything. Well? Now the girls will have scars for life, and hopefully learned a life long lesson.
Considering the families comments in the article it's fairly clear they've learned nothing.
Well, the families of the daughters bred ignorance from their own. So I guess I tried to be optimistic.
I was tempted to tell him "if i was harry potter i would have cast a spell to silence you a while ago", but giving the kid attention is the worst thing you can do.
Probably a good thing you didn't say that. It's better to be direct that to come up with some lame one-liner about you casting magic on him.
I guess you could say that whoever turned him in was a snitch.
The Judge has seen fit to send the criminal to the newly designated rehabilitation facility
You know what? When kids reach a certain year in high school, there should be some sort of public announcement which graphically shows them the consequences of bullying. The student's parent's would have the option to opt their children out of attending the event if they want though. The school I went to did the same thing, except the subject was drinking and driving at the time. They made us watch some poorly executed reenactment of a DUI crime-scene where a bunch of kids died and the driver was put in jail. Honestly though it was a bit hard to take seriously like the LAPD zombie PSA.
You guys are disturbingly upbeat about the damage this guy did to those girls. Yeah, bullying is bad, but it in no way justifies the use of such violence.
