Hey. Guys.
Hey, hey I have a great idea!
Let's sum up a law the entirely wrong way!

You can't own those here unless they're registered before 1986, and even those cost somewhere along the lines of $3000. And the permit is nigh impossible to get if you have any offenses beyond traffic violations.
Nobody is saying we need to unban those things.
unless I buy a legal ak at a gun show and the 5$ NOVELTY fully automatic kit.
that's like the brass knuckle BELT BUCKLE they sell at liquor stores here held on with 1 flimsy screw.
you like to hunt im fine with hunting rifles. Pistols for self defense and shotguns for bird shooting but why the fuck does anyone need a fully automatic ak-47 or an Uzi.
Why not? I wouldn't mind having AK in a display case that I can occasionally take to the shooting range. It'd be fun.
Here comes the fun police. Weee Woo Wee Woo

Because some people ruin it for everybody. We could make it so you need an iq higher then 120 and a high school diploma to own a gun or something.

Modern-built semi-auto AK's are incompatible with those kits.

Um
That would be discrimination based on intelligence.
And it's a RIGHT given to us by the Constitution, not a privilege.

are you saying stupid people should own guns?
and that bill was made so people could protect them self if the queen tried walking into their village and started slapping people around. I think were passed that time.
are you saying stupid people should own guns?
Yes. It's a right.
Unless you're mental, you cannot be denied a firearm based solely on your intellect.

Some people abuse free speech by saying mean things about the government, should we take away free speech? Or only give free speech to smart people?
and that bill was made so people could protect them self if the queen tried walking into their village and started slapping people around. I think were passed that time.
No. We are most certainly not.
If the government ever becomes too powerful, we can rise up and defeat it.
And don't tell me it can't be done. The soldiers of this country would defect, for the most part; they don't want to shoot citizens.
There's millions of armed citizens in Maryland and Virginia alone. There's maybe a few dozens of thousands of troops in that same area.

Is me being able to speak freely going to cause someone to have a quarter sized hole blown through their brain and end their life? Guns aren't toys they are weapons that kill people. We shouldn't just hand them out to any dumbfuck who thinks he has to have one.
Because some people ruin it for everybody. We could make it so you need an iq higher then 120 and a high school diploma to own a gun or something.
lol IQ test for firearms.. which are RIGHTS guaranteed by the Constitution.
you're retarded

Guns do NOT KILL PEOPLE.
My god, how many times does it need to be said?
People kill people.
And either way, if that 'dumbfuck' wants to own a gun, it's his right. The 2nd Amendment is not a privilege that we can just selectively apply.
Because smart people are less likely to be criminals (excluding white collar crimes) You don't need to repeat that its a right because I am fully aware of that. I just think there are quite a few people who need to have their guns taken away.

You're missing the point.
Gun ownership in the US is a right. You can't just take them away from people who have done no wrong with them.
Or we could, you know, secure the border and solve this entire issue. No horrible shit flows into the US from mexico, and it stops the cartels from weapon/drug running across the border. Ugh I hate dumb politicians.

Because in the USA its more important to be politically correct then get things done so you can get re elected.

good thing you're not in charge then.. it's called a right for a reason. if they have no legal disqualifications then they're allowed to have a gun. you don't get to pick and choose.
Because in the USA its more important to be politically correct then get things done so you can get re elected.
Sadly this is true. Banning guns still won't help. Mexico should try to crack down on corruption in their own government, rather than blaming it on another country. Of course, the US could just legalize and tax Marijuana and make the whole operation pointless.

So then how do you propose we solve our extreme murder rate? We have entire cities like Detroit that are nothing different then a war zone in the middle east.

Areas with concealed carry have crime rates that are falling. Maybe we should start with that.

Haha
Most cities that look like something from fallout in the US ironically have extremely strict gun control laws. Gun bans just plain don't work, I almost would support them if they did, but it's been proven that they don't.

Seattle (I live) is concealed carry. A few months ago a guy walked into a coffee shop and executed 4 cops all at once 3 of the cops were dead before the last one could even pull his gun and get a shot off but he too got killed. the guy was on the run for 2 days and almost killed another but the cop was faster and shot him before he could pull it.
Few months before that someone drove up next to a parked cop car and shot the hell out of it with an Uzi. I see no reason people need to have guns.
I don't really feel safe when I ride the bus knowing everyone may be armed.

educate them and help the people in poverty
people turn to violence for a number of reasons such as poverty, alienation, lack of education, etc.
it has nothing to do with firearms

This. Targeting law-abiding citizens does NOTHING.

criminals committing crimes? holy shit
the cop killer had a long rap sheet going back to his teen years.. why shouldn't a law abiding citizen be allowed to own firearms?

Did those people legally own those guns?

You didn't even counter a thing he said.
Did the guy who shot up the coffee shot have a Concealed Carry Permit? Probably not.
The guys with the Uzi most certainly got it illegally. It takes a bitchload of time to get one legally, and they're rare.
Your whole point is moot.

I didn't know you could legally buy an Uzi...
Oh wait, you can't. So why don't we take all the LAW ABIDING people's guns, that way anybody who can get one illegally will have minimal resistance in the crimes they commit.
You should feel safer knowing people may be armed around you. To get the license for concealed carry you have to go through safety training and pass a background check. It's not like anybody can just walk in and get one.
