It really depends on how much a hypothetical POTUS Trump would try to throw his weight around. I promise you that if he cracks down on dissenting opinions, limits the freedom of press or freedom of expression at all, someone's going to do it, whether we think that would be best for the country or not.
It'd probably be bad, really, that'd put his running mate in charge.
he does that and he'd get impeached, GOP still hates him.
Raisin Bran, now with two scoops of rat poop!
There's a reason regulations are in place. And claiming they take up a significant amount of money to abide by is
1. A lie, and
2. Useless anyway, because safety is more important than fucking profit
Trump is a businessman first and foremost, he will engineer his presidency to ensure he gets the most money out of it as possible.
If any other candidate said this it would be political suicide, but since it's trump people will say "he tells it how it is." I'm terrified about this election.
Not in the united states. Look at our health care system
so do you think scrapping the regulations around food will lead to better health in the US?
Please get me off this train
What we really need is food laced with lead and sewage
you know that's what we need
he's just telling it like it is

Obviously the more people there are with shriveled brains from lead and mercury poisoning, the more trump voters will exist. It's the perfect plan, really.
sucks that nearly all the candidates support 'actually existing capitalism' to an extent
seriously fuck neoliberalism and libertarianism
So the FDA just overhauled its rules because of a food poisoning outbreak with Chipotle
And now Trump wants to roll it all back so it can happen all over again
Someone explain the logic to me

It'll somehow make america great again
that and all the other stupidities he proposes

There is no logic. Just pure chaos in his mind masquerading as logic.
I just want to know how someone like him can go from ban guns, national healthcare, and pro-choice and even calling himself a democrat to what we see now.

How? very simple.
Whatever Donald Trump does is only for the benefit of Donald Trump and to hell with anybody who suffers as a result.
i disagree with someone, so I think they should be assassinated - archangel125
that might be a strawman, but that is basically what you said. Trump may not be a good person, and probably will drive the US into the ground, but advocating him to be assassinated? hes a human, not a orange.

and if he wins, destroys the FDA and the EPA and then literally hundreds of millions of americans suffer from serious long term effects is it worth it
woah never thought I'd see the FDA be the good guys in something
Where are the usual Trump supporters now?
A couple of them were trying to push the "pneumonia is contagious how dare Clinton infect people" angle before and are now oddly silent when Trump is planning on putting even more people at risk with this bit of policy.
i disagree with someone, so I think they should be assassinated - archangel125.
Trump himself has already suggested political assassination before. But ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ what does that matter MAKE AMERICA DADDY AGAIN.
I'm much more concerned that an actual presidential candidate suggesting that 2A supporters assassinate/ murder Hillary, over some dude on the Internet who would both be aware that Trump made that statement, and quite likely to take the piss out of Trump by using that statement back to him.
why not just abolish the fda altogether and let the food industry put their own shit on the nutrition labels
triple deep fried cheeseburger: 30 calories
Alright lads, please don't ever go down to Trump's level and say he should be assassinated. He literally called for that to be done for Clinton, let's show that we're better than him by not encouraging that type of extremist, awful behaviour. If Trump wins fairly and democratically - as awful as I would find that - I will accept that. Assassinating him will make it worse. He'll become a martyr for his so-called 'cause.'
Trust me, that never ends well.
How do people actually support this douche
How do people actually support this douche
Because when he says stuff like this, his supporters are nowhere to be seen. Have you seen any in this thread? Have you seen this statement mentioned on /pol/ or The_Donald?
[editline]15th September 2016[/editline]
According to the article, even Trump's website removed any mention of this plan.
How do people actually support this douche
Welp he's slowly catching Hillary in polls - 60% to 40% according to 538 prediction.
jesus christ it's like every proposal he makes or everything he says gets more and more fucking insane
this man must not win the presidential elections
I thought his dumb shit was limited to not understanding politics and human nature and emotions
but he's actually genuinely advocating removing safety restrictions on food. Fuck. That.

I didn't understand this until I remembered this shit.
When he first said he was going to run for president, I was feeling like I should vote for him.
Now, after a ton of stuff he's now revealed he wants to change, i'm voting for Gary Johnson.

Gary johnson would probably have the same outcome as trump.
Gary johnson would probably have the same outcome as trump.
Johnson's at least reasonable enough to recognize that the EPA is "good government" and provides valuable and necessary protection - Trump thinks the EPA needs to have funding cut and said, direct quote, that "the movement against asbestos was led by the mob."
but then again Johnson's FairTax idea and his desire to eliminate the IRS is equal to or worse than Trump's tax plan so liking weed and the EPA doesn't save his platform much from my point of view.
okay maybe the irony is lost, and archangel is a bit wacko nevermind
