There are faster handhelds then this already in the market and they can't make something that's comparable? Why even get a switch when you can get something like a GPD Win and play n64,ps1,ps2,xbox,Wii,WiiU and PC games? Hope they announce some killer games for its launch because Zelda isn't going to cut it when I can just play it on my WiiU.
pfft, yeah right. That can barely run the gc version of Metroid Prime what makes you think it can run those?
It's like people in here constantly forget that nintendo has never targeted hardcore games, they are going after the casual market and are building a console that can be successful at a price that casuals are comfortable with.
Oh Jesus Christ don't remind me of that disgusting trash. Are you talking aboutathose Youtube videos of people shoving cartoony models onto jarring realistic Unreal Engine demos? You can't be serious. Do you honestly think that since Mario has a cartoon artstyle that it's for little kids? That's extremely narrow minded, that's like immediately assuming Cuphead or South Park: Stick of Truth is inherently for children. I can give you Nintendo not making many M-rated games, I guess. But besides, games looking more realistic doesn't mean they have better graphics. What looks better today, Shadow of the Colossus on PS2 or Call of Duty: World at War on PS2? I can at least agree that Nintendo should be more accepting to 3rd parties. But "people like you" who just focus on if Lebron's sweat has better aliasing between different consoles should not be the people that they care about. I agree that they should definitely make a more powerful system, but this idea of "make every artstyle realistic" is just asinine.
So you're saying that they shouldn't make a really high quality ultra realistic looking Zelda game/games? I'm sure if Nintendo actually did that it would look amazing. Just please no more Zelda wind waker Crayola color shit. I would be happy with Zelda and golden eye HD 1080p remakes that don't look like a Crayola coloring book. Just look at golden eye reloaded for Xbox 360. I think it looks amazing and does golden eye justice.

It was one of the single most expressive and interesting art styles used in the series. It's focus on expression rather than detail is what we need in today's games Watch this video.

The graphics can improve without having to look ultra realistic.
Also that just seems unnecessarily hedonistic.
Nah, 60 is where its at. the eye might only be able to see 30 frames or so per second but that does not mean looking at 60fps does not smooth out the image tremendously compared to 32 or whatever... especially since if your pc is struggling at 60 it will fall back to 30 ish, but the same load stutter at 30 frames quickly becomes 15 frames...

That's all there is.
Consoles will eventually become powerful enough that all games run natively at genuine 2160p, it's only a matter of time that, or close to 2160p. Upscaling doesn't count. PC's are getting there so.
xbox team claims scorpio (out in 2017) is gonna be able to 4k60 if games are actually gonna do that tho depends on the devs http://segmentnext.com/2016/08/22/xbox-one-scorpio-4k-60fps/
Speaking with Inner Circel, Microsoft’s Albert Penello clarified that running games on Xbox One Scorpio at 4K resolution and 60 FPS is their own goal, so developers may or may not apply it to their games. He further said that 4k and 60 FPS will not be mandatory, developers will be free to utilize the console’s power as they feel it.
