To modify a pre-existing virus into one that doesn't give you the effects of it's origins, and removes/prevents HIV from the system is genius, and it doesn't help the fact that they're already working on several other vaccines using the same principal. As a homosexual, I find this to be very good news. If it's heard of again, and tests are successful, it means we're one step closer to eradicating HIV and AIDS.

Why would I want herpes to protect myself from HIV but not chlamydiae or gonorrhea?
