Isn't that a full leak of his family's social security numbers? If so, that's kind of fucked.
yeah, if their families are doxxed too, then that's kind of overkill for a punishment. it's like shooting into a crowd of people and celebrating that the criminals got shot
Honestly, as much as I think they deserve to be punished excessively for all the shitty stuff they've done recently, I think the fact a high schooler's life is now fucked forever because of dumb mistakes kinda makes this at least a little bit morally grey, dont you think? [editline]11th December 2014[/editline] Not trying to defend their actions, just trying to start discussion
You are saying dumb mistake like that's some kind of defence... And dumb mistakes are things like leaving the stove on and burning down your house. This is deliberate and malicious criminal action that has come back to bite him in the ass in a most deserved fashion. Spare your sympathy for the people he doxxed.

most of these dox are fake, they even retweeted the pastebin .
My only question is why is it so easy to get someones SSN?
That picture of one of the mothers cost me my appetite. Time to start my new years resolution earlier it seems.
I want to know how these people got SSN for all the "squad". I highly doubt they did it legally.
My only question is why is it so easy to get someones SSN?
Idk, I think it's a pretty stupid system. You can completely fuck someone's financial life with it, with little hope of recovery for the victim. [editline]11th December 2014[/editline]
I want to know how these people got SSN for all the "squad". The getting the actual personal part I have heard about online and don't have actually proof of, but it involves social engineering.
Leaking their SSN is totally fucked up
Leaking their SSN is totally fucked up
The fact that a number which stays with you for life can be stolen and abused so easily to destroy someone's life in the first place is pretty fucked up too imo. Fix your shit US government
Hahahahahah, oh wow they got wrecked, Hopefully they are forever in jail and or debt. They knew the risks, and if they didn't, there idiots who belong in jail. Hopefully the vigilante detective gets caught too.
Fucking dorks.
looks like shit to me. the proof is questionable at best and it is really better to give doxx benefit of the doubt (innocent/not right till proven guilty/correct). I suspect this is some anons trying to crowd source their harassment against guys they don't like in their school/randomers they've doxxed.
The fact that a number which stays with you for life can be stolen and abused so easily to destroy someone's life in the first place is pretty fucked up too imo. Fix your shit US government
The number is stored on a small personal card/document, if you lose your own SSN then you must have fucked up.
I wonder how many loans have been taken out with those details so far
The number is stored on a small personal card/document, if you lose your own SSN then you must have fucked up.
Do you really think that's the only way people can get your SSN?
The number is stored on a small personal card/document, if you lose your own SSN then you must have fucked up.
Banks and employers usually ask for your full SSN. Your SSN is closely related to your finances, so it makes sense. What doesn't make sense is your SSN's use as a personal identification number, but that's a topic for another debate. If somebody really wants your SSN, they can get it.
I'm just curious as to why the Imgur link to their social security numbers is almost a year old ("Created 1 year ago"). Have these already been public for an extended period of time? Or is it proof that this post was planned long ago? It's interesting because it makes me wonder if they're scrambling to secure their identity, or if they're just choosing to stay quiet. That's assuming that there's any weight to the given information.

http://www.incgamers.com/2014/08/ddos-group-lizard-squad-apparently-caught-and-exposed Not sure if the info is matching up, as I really don't wanna go too deep in this. I was Doxed as well, for very, very wrong reasons.
http://www.poopsenders.com/ You know what to do
any form of doxxing is fucking disgusting IMO, especially their innocent family members
any form of doxxing is fucking disgusting IMO, especially their innocent family members
As someone who has been doxed, it's not fun. You can't really do shit, and once it's out there, it's out there. The pastebin might have been deleted, but people still got my social security among other things.
I could understand that some of the members are between the ages of 14-24, but seriously, 30+? This is just like lulzsec. Don't these 30+ year olds have something better to do than DDOSing video game services and whatnot?
The funny thing is one of them are high schoolers.
The fact that a number which stays with you for life can be stolen and abused so easily to destroy someone's life in the first place is pretty fucked up too imo. What's such a point of the SSN doing everything in the US? In here we have so much shit there's no way a doxxer can get through all the red tape, and even then for most things you need to directly interact with the bureaucracy to abuse it, which would have to constitute forgery and identity theft. Another advantage is that whenever an Anglosphere(read: American) or really anyone of a different ethnicity would attempt to pull the thing I mentioned he'd be spotted because of the dialect blunder.

Since it links back to the Social Security system, its used a lot in finance related things as well. The problem is that the system was not really designed to be secure, as in the 30's, "data leaks" were something only governments and corporations cared about. Its security is literally on the "honor system" and security through obscurity. Which we all know are horrible security measures. Because of that low security, the ability to forge documents and act convincing, is enough for most companies and such to blindly accept it without question.
This is hilarious, a hacker hacked the hackers. Its always the cocky ass groups who make a big deal of themselves always the ones to get caught. I mean, if you are hacking and shit wouldnt you want to stay secret?
Hey, being doxed isn't funny. Especially if you didn't deserve it.
Although I think these guys deserve to be punished, revealing their private info to everyone is not the way to go
Then don't annoy a whole couple of nations.
