Did you even read the article?
I just hope Nato kicks Turkey the fuck out.
Why would they kick out their only major ally in the entire region over Russia being dumb as fuck?
Also Putin won't do any major military shit over this, besides the Turkish military would probably give the Russians some serious fucking trouble as they are one of the top in the world.
This is a damn mess, but it looks like turkey is trying to salvage what they can

What the fuck Turkey is fucking doing in the fucking NATO
They are fucking buying ISIS's oil
They are fucking letting ISIS operate on their ground.
They are killing Kurds, who are only fighting ISIS.
They can't just shoot two russians fighters down and ask NATO's help.
Is that speculation?
It's what was cited in these news stories.. do I have to keep posting the articles?

If moral issues were problems for NATO, USA would be the first to GTFO after all the shit that was done under Reagan and Nixon.
Turkey is not only important to the alliance, they are one of THE most important members currently due to the shitshow that is the middle east.
Also historically, Turkey has been one of the biggest bros in the alliance, see Cuban missile crisis. You can't just toss them out because they (minorly) helped bad people at one point.
Also Turkey's been bombing ISIS and there are extremist Kurds in Turkey. This isn't black and white.
So not only was a plane shot down, but the pilots were gunned down while parachuting to safety.
While this doesn't done by turkey.. It -is- caused by them.
As if Russia would start a nuclear war over two people. How stupid can people get?
Well uh... Once upon a time, two people were killed by rebels. As a result of this, some nation got really really angry with another nation and they and all their friends got into a big fight that was later known as the war to end all wars, the great war, and coined the term 'world war'.
Not at all saying this is gonna happen again, of course, but Russia have already literally started a world war over two people.
And now apparently the two pilots are alive.
And now apparently the two pilots are alive.
Please be alive and well, if Turkish reports are true both are held captive by rebels and turkish forces are trying to free them - that might not fix a broken bone but could ease the pain.

A leader of a nation compared to 2 pilots, not to mention that it wasn't even about those 2 people getting killed but conditions within Europe that made war something that would have happened because of other reasons.
Comparing this to World War 1 is idiotic and makes no sense. At all.
Not to mention that any world war now ends with Russia in ashes, and perhaps the world along it.
And now apparently the two pilots are alive.
Well there's a video of rebels shooting the fuck at one of the parachuting pilots, so he'd be very lucky to be alive after that.

I know it's what we're all hoping but as you also know every idiot can yell something on the internet.
You're not the idiot in that analogy, but you might be the guy repeating the idiot.
Also Nicholas II was the biggest retard in history and was so incompetent he makes Bush look like FDR.

Any war started because of this (that is, none, because it wouldn't happen) would not be about these two people but preexisting tensions too. I just found it to be a nice coincidence that someone was stating that Russia would not go to war over two people when the exact thing has happened before, not actually making any sort of comparison of the importance or situation in any greater scale than that tiny similarity.

You're right, i get your point.
But are you okay to "protect" Turkey because they did shit against russia ?

I don't think Turkey wants any trouble with Russia, but if they have their airspace violated and give warnings, the Russian pliots need to boot it quick ( as in, seconds) or face the consequences. The Turks can afford to stand up to Russia while the Baltic countries/Scandinavians can't.
Sadly they crashed in a part of Turkey filled with rebels who hate them, not good. Hopefully Turkey can rescue the pilots (if they are indeed alive) and help fix this shit. We should all be focusing on ISIS, especially after they murdered many innocent Turks/Russian civilians in two separate attacks.
Watch Russia declare parts of the rebel held areas of turkey as unstable and worthy of occupation, and then use that as a staging ground for a Syrian offensive.
Why do people think that this will spark WWIII when only involved less than a handful of military personnel in an active warzone where miscommunication is bound to happen. Soldiers knew what they were getting themselves into and on both sides they were simply doing their job.
If having a plane full of foreign civilians being shot down by Russian-backed rebels over Ukraine isn't enough to spark WWIII, this sure as hell ain't.
Wow, I didn't know that Ruskies and some westerners were that pissed. Some russian guy called me a "cut penis" while I was trying to ask what was going on :v:
Probably best not to play any games online for a week or so to avoid that.

"What's that? My subjects are asking for more say in how the country is run? Better have the army round a bunch of 'em up and pop some caps in they's asses."
"My national police are over-worked, undermanned, poorly trained, and barely getting the job done. I know! Let's put them in charge of collecting taxes on top of the rest of their duties! They totally won't abuse that power!"
"What the fuck? Why are these dudes trying to improve living conditions in the countryside by building schools and hospitals and shit? They must be RADICALS! Army! Go fuck 'em up!"
"Hey, you know that ancient proverb about how an army's training regimen should be relevant to the battles it will fight? Yeah, that's bullshit, let's teach them how to march, flog a few of them for having dust on their uniforms and call it a day."
"Fuck having motivated, professional soldiers, let's conscript a bunch of peasants who hate us and have a tradition of drinking themselves into a stupor as soon as they find out they're 'soldiers'."

We can have pages and pages full of Nicolas being shit, it's truly awe surprising that someone could be so fucking bad at something.
My favorite Nick moment would have to be when during the midst of ww1 he thought he would inspire his badly supplied soldiers who's morale was seriously low by sending paintings of himself to the battles. Fucking amazing.

It's what the Turkish government believes.
http://uk.reuters.com/article/2015/11/24/uk-mideast-crisis-syria-turkey-pilots-idUKKBN0TD23E20151124
A country bordering an active warzone protects its own airspace and everyone goes crazy.
Its unfortunate they got shot down but 1. they should have kept out of Turkey's airspace and 2. they should have responded to the warnings.
As far as the Turkish were aware it could have been a Syrian plane.
Both pilots are dead according to Russian defence ministry. One SAR helicopter and also one marine was lost - Russian TV news.
In other news, all aircraft involved in bombing will now be escorted by fighter planes.

That's a weird way of protecting your borders - shooting an airplane after it left them. not ot mention that claim about "10 times radio warning" is laughable, i'll include this thoutful post:

That salient into Syria is 6 or 7 Km long at its widest point, seems kind of hard to warn it 10 times for 5 minutes since it wouldn't take a couple of minutes to cross that distance flying at stall speed, much less while cruising. Also, the town of Yayladagi is something like 10 Km to the northwest from the hit marker, and from what I can tell from the plotted path, it doesn't go nowhere near it.
Sometimes you gotta accept that Russia is not always a bad guy and there is a possibility that Turkey was simply pissed off for losing money they were getting from imporing ISIS oil, ever since Russia started bombing the shit out of their fuel trucks
There's also this 5 km buffer zone parallel with the border which Turkey considers as itselfs. Or was it 10?
Russian picture to counter the Turkey radar picture. Truck load of salt needed here.
