PS3s are really not expensive...
I guess most PS3 owners already know this but certain games aren't even working with the PS3 disconnected from the internet.

Mine's dead too, 80gb phat. Kind of annoying it's a matter of waiting until tomorrow to see if it fixes itself, as if it doesn't it could be freaking fatal for Sony, as they can't automatically update the console if they can't connect to PSN, so it'd be a matter of burning an update to a disk/flash drive and running it off that.

Just read on Sony forums that it was because of a possible error when it came down to marking 2010 as a leap year. Apparently, Sony don't know shit about leap years so they went and labeled 2010 as a leap year and that's how many believe shit got fucked up.
