• Man Crushed to Death While Looking for Lost Phone in Trash Compactor

About ten years ago when I was working as a janitor I had a secretary who had thrown away a cheap phone headset "order" me to retrieve it. Even after I explained I had ran the compactor at least a dozen times, that there was virtually no way it survived, and that w/o my boss personally seeing to its power lockout I wouldn't even consider reaching in- much less climbing in. She just stood there insisting i retrieve it. So yes ppl can be this ignorant about mechanical devices- even the blatantly dangerous ones.
That or make sure everyone working there knows that you are about to crawl in there to retrieve your phone so they know not to turn it on or anything.
You tell a single worker you're crawling in the trash compacter and they'll tell you to step the fuck back from it
NOLF 2
I once threw 300 cans of beer into a compactor :D
has anybody thought about this. How easy would it be to put a dead body in a trash compactor and make it look like he was looking for his phone?

Have you ever tried to carry a dead body up a ladder? It's almost impossible, it's all floppy and heavy, awkward as hell...or so I've heard.
