IMO, the moderates in both parties are fine. The issue being the far right and the far left. At current that's the Tea Party causing a mess, and the far left wingers are being smart and not opening their mouths because they know they'll crack their party into two.

The examples of "far left" people that I see (like Piers Morgan for instance) aren't actually far left, they're just both left and also really fucking stupid.
On another note, how the fuck have the supreme court justices that supported this not been, you know, fucking killed yet? At this point it's becoming completely clear that the republican party is going to keep raping the constitution to fuck democracy over in their favor and simply trying to vote our way out of the problem is not going to work. They're suppressing the vote of around 10% of the population in places where Voter ID laws have been put into place, with the vast majority being of a particular party. This is the type of shit we'd expect from fucking Russia. I think if any point in the last 50 years has justified the killing of public officials, this would be it. If we don't do something about this, the cycle where extremist republicans rape democracy to get more republicans in office, and then those extremist republicans will rape democracy more so that even more extremist republicans get in office, and then eventually half the country can't even vote and we've turned from democracy to fascism.
I'm going to get dumbed to hell for this post but I'm really fucking pissed off and feeling hopeless about the future of our country right now.
