What the fuck does that matter? They're still being a disgusting piece of shit, trying to ruin a person's life over innocent fanart for a children's cartoon.
I already said it didn't really matter. But it's like, if you think this is somebody who actually believes the stuff they type there, then you would be mistaken. All I'm saying is that you're getting trolled, and I thought maybe people would appreciate that information, but it was kind of a useless thing to point out in the grand scheme of things. Sorry, I'm a bit exhausted right now. Like, obviously when you say shit like that it doesn't matter if you're being sincere or not because it's still going to damage the person who it's directed at emotionally, I get that. [editline]30th October 2015[/editline]
It doesn't matter who did it or why, it's disgusting and shouldn't exist even if somebody is being an " teenage edgelord " just like that Sarah whatever the fuck he was called who apperently was just being very edgy when they were being a pedophile
Yeah, I know. I still think whoever runs that blog is a nasty motherfucker regardless, make no mistake. Trolls in general are pretty shitty, but telling someone to kill themselves while *just trolling* isn't any better than if you actually meant it.
Fake or not the person behind it should still be reported along with any other trolls or sjw extremists to the authorities
loving the fanart retaliation im seein on tumblr (shes actually a Semi-fat/Plus sized/whatever Girl in the actual show, its also a joke about the "Beach body ready" campaign for a weight loss thing that was super successful because of sjw's going apeshit) Also the fact that the creators don't approve of the bullying shit actually makes me want to watch the show.
The reason why this is causing so much havoc is because Rose Quartz is originally chubby in the show, and when she's drawn skinny, it removes the whole representation this character has to relate to a younger audience. Now, I'm not endorsing whatever kind of bullying is happening in the fandom, but I could see why someone would take this into account and not be happy with it. I've been part of the SU fandom for a while, and there's a couple of shitty things the fandom has done before that has caused some outrage. Such as the Motel Keystone incident, where fans found out the motel was actually real, they went on Yelp and gave the Motel bad reviews because of the events that happened in the episode. There was tons of backlash from inside the fandom to stop fans from adding anymore bad reviews to the motel. The generalization of the fandom is where I think people misinterpret the show. The show itself is really great and if you haven't given it a chance, I highly recommend you do so. Many of the fans are very well aware that this is a show for children, and continue to support the positive messages the show has, and maintaining its innocence. This is why many fans of the show are well against porn being made of the show, because it's not the sort of identity the fans want the show to be depicted as. Every fandom is shitty, yes, I get it. Each of them have a handful of asshats that just ruin something for everything else. If you've been in a fandom, you must know there's some god awful shitty fans, it really depends on which part of the fandom you chose to associate yourself with. However if you're looking for a reason to not watch the show, don't let this be one.
This remembers me of when I ported a ebola chan model to the source filmmaker, and then someone on tumblr said he/she/whatever was having anxiety issues and health issues because of a fucking sfm model A F U C K I N G S F M M O D E L

How the hell does one artist drawing a fat character skinny or characters in a pornographic scene ruin the identity of those characters? The characters are still the same in the show, representing the same identity and values or whatever they always have. Hell most people who watch the show probably aren't even going to see the art in the first place, it's not like every single person who watches SU is part of the fan community and follows every single thing that's said about it on social media. Fanart has absolutely no effect on the characters, and getting upset over one artist's own depiction of a character is absurd.

I have not made many great decisions in my life, but never signing up for or caring about tumblr is definitely one of them. As a global society, I fear shit like this is going to happen for decades until we can evolve an understanding of how to live in a world that includes the Internet. Human social behaviours are hundreds of thousands of years old, if not millions carried through our primate ancestors. The Internet's about 35 years old and social media's younger than the empathy-free mob of shits using it to try and provoke people into suicide for liking things they don't like. We have a long way before we adjust, and the Internet is also constantly evolving so we don't even fully understand it yet. We need to start putting more emphasis on teaching kids empathy and communication skills. In school, at home, and online, starting from a young age. I'm sure everyone here's experienced how easy it is to dehumanize someone on the Internet and reduce them to a bunch of words on the screen you can dismiss and mock. Just look at the Rust subforum, it's a sitewide joke, but there have been tons of awful, toxic things posted at/about people who legitimately did not deserve it -- both by Rust shits and by "outsider" fpers. It's so easy to slip into even on fp where the rules are strict and the mods make sure bad posters get gone, how are teenagers whose only supposed friends are tumblr thought-police supposed to find the right way? I don't envy today's kids at all, because going on the Internet now is like walking the mean streets of any major metropolitan city -- in a five-minute span you might be exposed to a creepy pervert, a shouting angry racist, any manner and intensity of derogatory or sexual obscenities, and people with uncontrolled serious mental illnesses. Without leaving YouTube. At least when I was 15 and really dumb about the world, the amount of damage I could do was rate-limited to 14400bps and only rich kids could afford digital cameras ($3000 for grainy 640x480) so I couldn't even get tempted into sexting my junk to an untrustworthy person.
The only stereotypical thing of this are those people's insults. Art is subjective, end of the story. SU shows characters with different body shapes in a clever way for the younger audience, but every artist should be free to draw any character in any style they want. The irony is how people are reducing these characters down to their appearance. As if being fat is all there is to Rose and taking that away will leave her with nothing (I don't even think she has any fat since she's a damn rock), not as if she's a powerful matriarch who led an entire army.

Maybe I have to bold that out to get my point across? Harassing people online can still take a toll on you, and it's evil and fucking awful for anyone even do that. Art is broad, and one of the fasinating things about art that you could do whatever you want with it. Who enjoys it is clearly subjective of course. Taking a characters original design and applying it to a different color or shape because you don't enjoy their look is kinda like an insult to the creator. That was the way they wanted their character to be shown and represented as. However, I'm not going to shame anyone for whatever kind of art they produce. They can do whatever they want, and I'll stay on my side of the lane. As long as they're not endorsing porn for the show it's completely fine.
Taking a characters original design and applying it to a different color or shape because you don't enjoy their look is kinda like an insult to the creator. However, bullying is not criticism.
https://twitter.com/ianjq/status/659160250528849920?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw The creator disagrees. And since when is drawing a character in your own style saying you don't like their look?
I'm pretty sure that if a creator cared about fan art, they'd be far more upset about raunchy R34 rather than some girl drawing a character in a different style or with a different skin color. If you reach that level of obsession you should seek mental help.

Creator and early concept designer of the gems was by Rebecca Sugar. I agree whole heartedly with what Ian said though.
That's the co-executive producer. Creator and early concept designer of the gems was by Rebecca Sugar. I agree whole heartedly with what Ian said though.
Sugar also said they could draw what they want IIRC.
Sugar also said they could draw what they want IIRC.
Which caused show fans to attack her as well.
That's the co-executive producer. Creator and early concept designer of the gems was by Rebecca Sugar. I agree whole heartedly with what Ian said though.
rebecca sugar also drew ed and eddy licking each other while nude I doubt she gives any fucks
Help I'm losing faith in humanity again.
lol these people are absolutely bonkers. They're not human, they are robots programmed to hate.
rebecca sugar also drew ed and eddy licking each other while nude I doubt she gives any fucks
It's fun finding artists and show creators rule 34. Like Bruce Timms's pinups.
SU fans are the worst, it's like a show almost purposefully made to draw out these kinds of people and group them together into a fandom. Any of you sane ones are ok but god damn that show is tumblr as fuck.
it's like homestuck and my little pony had a child
it's like homestuck and my little pony had a child
And that child grew up believing it was the worlds best art critic.
the show is really fucking good and no amount of sociopathic nutcase fans will change that
I'm just more horrified that the SU fandom somehow made weirder fandoms seem normal. Like, the 40K fandom now looks tame, mature and loving compared SU. Superwholock just looks fucking naive. Hell, they made weaboos look good. It is no slightly less insane to get a body pillow and fuck it because at least people aren't screaming people to suicide because of fanart.
Aaaaand saved. Someone should also do this to that muffin gal in the OP and post her response afterwards, it'll be hilarious.
I hope people don't actually doxx them. It just leads to more harrassment. Just take it to the officials.

The SU Fandom is actually quite nice and easy to talk to. You just got these asshats to worry about. Just like every Fandom, each fandom has a Darkside...and a darkerside.
the show is really fucking good and no amount of sociopathic nutcase fans will change that
I hope people don't mind me asking but what specifically makes SU a good show? I watched the first episode of it and felt pretty confused until I had a friend explain to me what it was about. I've been debating watching it again and I'm interested in why people specifically like it. On topic to the artist victimized it already sounds like she was on the mental edge with all the disorders she had to deal with and this was the breaking point. All the people bullying here must be more mentally ill than her to worry about stupid shit on pictures over fictional characters. That or they're very detached from reality, I'mma say both :v:

Otherwise most people only seem to care about the "progressiveness".
Any of you sane ones are ok but god damn that show is tumblr as fuck.
This is just a symptom of the progressive mob culture. Not just a Tumblr thing. [editline]30th October 2015[/editline]
the show is really fucking good and no amount of sociopathic nutcase fans will change that
Watched a few episodes. Liked how the show is willing to have messages you would never hear from other shows. "Sometimes its ok to back out", etc.
"admittedly, toddlers probably are pretty easy to pin down, but it's gotta be needlessly difficult to skip ahead to the assrape when you've gotta take off your clown pants and then your cargo pants"
Man, that joke is hilarious. And by that, of course, I mean the single most humongously bombed attempt of a joke in the history of anything. Yeah, it's an overused phrase but really, when else is this going to be even remotely appropriate?
Steven Universe is a show about a bunch of messed up misfit weirdos learning to deal with problems way bigger than they are by growing as people and supporting each other. They are flawed. They are weak. The show isn't about how people's flaws don't matter, they're about how people aren't defined by them. it's a really good show which makes it all the more frustrating that tumblr boils it down into "it's a show about a black an autist a midget a fatty and his big nosed indian friend fighting the patriarchy" like there's a fucking nazi genetic purist in this show and she is measurably smarter than the other smartest character the point is that there's more to life than being smart, not that bad people aren't smart. I think that shit is really interesting.
