How do I check if they raised the price of X game? The Internet Wayback Machine is not helping.
SteamDB does the trick often.

See how shady GTA V's price thing is, huge rise and then goes lower because sale.
I just want Elite: Dangerous and Attlia. I got everything that I would want last Winter Sale, and I didn't get through to them all. :v:
What about the MT fiasco?
Overreaction. You shouldn't give up on the game because of that.
Worst I'd say is hold on until it's off early access unless you've played the first one and know the potential of kf2.

Microtransactions are a good reason to hold off on a game entirely. It's a shady buisness practice that has no space in regular games. It's disgusting to say the least.
So far the microtransactions haven't had an effect on the gameplay in the slightest. While that's not to speak of what's going to happen in the future, it's currently a much better KF1 with slightly less content.
It's still much, much more preferred than the shit KF1 pulled, where they locked actual content behind paywalls. But since that wasn't technically microtransactions, I guess that's OK.

Are they that bad? Surely you can't mean all microtransactions?
Are they that bad? Surely you can't mean all microtransactions?
KF2 microtransactions is just a clone of the crate system in csgo, even down to the "battle scarred - factory new" weathering system. The main beef is that it's not even out of early access and you're already getting loot drops that say "pay 2.49 to unlock me."

Yet i can still play CS:GO without ever giving a shit about its micro transactions.
Yet i can still play CS:GO without ever giving a shit about its micro transactions.
Theres a big difference between CS:GO's system and games that create an artificial grind for points/resources, or cut out chunks of games entirely(biggest example being map-packs etc) for the sole purpose of selling shortcuts or quick access to those parts though. Dunno much about KF2 though.

Same. I haven't paid for a single skin. I don't think it's a bad system. It's a shame about addicts though, skins seem to draw some of them in. I have a couple of friends that has paid for keys and skins for probably more than 1000 dollars. I don't think any of them has gotten in to serious financial problems because of it but they probably could've gotten out of their rooms for a few more weekends a year if it weren't for them. That's about it.
Can't blame Valve for that though, they'll learn(they don't need to do shit if they don't want to). The money probably would've been spent on alcohol or clothes otherwise, clothes is the same thing, alcohol is destructive. Yadda yadda.

I agree entirely. The vast majority of the time you can sell whatever crap drops for steam bux so even if you don't like the microtransactions you can still benefit from them. I've gone from zero to almost 30 steam bucks just from selling csgo and steam community crap, so i'm certainly not complaining. But I can see where others might have an issue.

Well, it looks like for the Canadian dollar, it's the cheapest it ever was.
You think Helldivers will get a price cut? Even though they just released it a few weeks ago.
Telltale's Jurassic Park is the only game I want and it's really cheap right now, but I'm saving for Japan. What do?
Wouldn't buy it unless you really feel the need to actually play it. Better off watching a playthrough. It was "neat" I guess would be my word for it. Got it at release and haven't played since.
Anyone know any good RTS to play with friends, like supcom?
IDK if its on sale, but Total Annihilation is a great old school RTS that was just recently added to steam.
Verdun worth buying?
I love how RPG Maker MV is still horribly overpriced despite being on sale
Oh hey, a Christmas Sale that I can actually participate in, neat!
I'm thinking of getting GTA5 and The Witcher 3, would these specs be good enough to run them?
Processor: AMD Phenom II x6 1055T Processor 2.80 GHz
Memory: 16 GB
Video Card: AMD Radeon R7 200 Series

I would say so. The trench combat system is actually really good.

Age of Mythology.
You think Helldivers will get a price cut? Even though they just released it a few weeks ago.
If it does go on sale it'll probably only be like 25% max.
Also i never really looked at the Arma 3 DLC prices, but now theyre on sale, 50% off, and they're still 8 bucks. what the shit. They were 16 bucks to begin with?!
If it does go on sale it'll probably only be like 25% max.
There's no daily deals tho, if it's not on sale now it won't change.
You think Helldivers will get a price cut? Even though they just released it a few weeks ago.
There are no dailies or flash sales.
What you see now is what you get for the entire sale.
Anyone know any good RTS to play with friends, like supcom?
Red Alert 3. Lots of bad blood by the super conservationist community, but if you want an actual good RTS to play with friends, this is it.
[editline]23rd December 2015[/editline]
Of course if you want a supcom type RTS you might want Total Annihilation which I don't know jack shit about and whether it even has coop MP.
[editline]23rd December 2015[/editline]
Rise of Nations apparently pretty good too.
Are they that bad? Surely you can't mean all microtransactions?
If you pay for a game there should be no excuse for any sort of microtransactions at all, ever. CS:GO, KF2, the microtransactions are all complete rubbish.
I have 18 dollars, any suggestions?
I have 18 dollars, any suggestions?
Look at your list of recommended games, check the frontpage, do a couple of Steam discovery queues.
Personally I'd recommend Dishonored, Worms Armageddon, Battleblock Theater, Outlast, South Park: The Stick of Truth, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2 and FTL: Faster Than Light.
They're all very solid and pretty cheap right now.
