Steam Refunds is only good for things bought from Steam. That'd be like refunding Newegg purchase at Amazon.

Very. There's a pretty expansive and difficult amount of singleplayer challenges, and there's perfectly fine online multiplayer with random people.

You could buy through steam to see if it runs well, refund it and go back and get the cheaper price elsewhere.

That isn't the scary part.. Click on your wallet or account name/details and it will show you their private information and wallet amount (of some random person).
