"Right now we have access to every classified database in the U.S. goverment." - Anonymous

I seriously doubt this, there's been people acting like they're going to do something but don't or can't, who are in'to being all 'anonymous'. Plus this will probably not help anyone if the government cuts the internet down because of this.
At the same time, government needs to stop the damn lying and hiding.
I'll believe it when I see it.
Yeah mates, sure you do.
95% of this shit isn't even connected to servers or anything, the government would need to be stupid to do that.
Doubt this, the most sensitive stuff would not be able to be accessed on the internet, and I doubt they have people working for them in every government branch and people that are cleared for extremely classified secrets.
Hopefully false, there's a lot of information there that shouldn't be leaked for security reasons.
what security reasons? if your government is 100% good then there should be no security worries because everyone would like your country the way it is.
You know how we got access? We didn’t hack them. The access was given to us by the people who run the systems.
I would just like to point that out. The argument that they could not hack it is null and void due to the fact that they claim not to have hacked it, they claim to have people inside these networks (from their description of pimply guys in the basement, I would assume admins and IT) willing to hand over the information. Also, they do not say they HAVE it, they say they have ACCESS to it, meaning they could get at it in retaliation.
Of course, this is what they claim, I still doubt that they actually do.

This is really naive logic.
It doesn't matter. All of the worst shit the government does is already right out in the open for anyone to see. The majority of people just have learned to accept it or ignore it. No sort of leak is going to accomplish anything even if they weren't just lying for attention.
People not only aren't protesting about stupid shit the government does, they're ACTIVELY VOTING IN the politicians whose only goal is to make their rich friends and their corporations richer and fuck over everyone else. And there's nothing we can do about it because a huge percentage of Americans are fucking morons.
I'm not even sure if a whole lot would happen at all, maybe the Occupy movement would get a bit bigger and someone would make a big statement about it, but all in all I can only imagine your average joe either expressing his disdain on the Internet or blabbering on about it to his friends
I just can't see anything pushing people to a conflict any stronger than what we have now
What conflict? Our society is already calling too close to home to the society of Fahrenheit 451.
Our entire world is being controlled and operated by tiny invisible 1s and 0s that are flashing through the air
I see somebody watched the Matrix recently.
Why Area 51? I mean sure it might be nice if they have any cool prototype planes there, and we all know JFK was assassinated by Mason, Black Ops told us that and video games never lie.
We know what Area 51 is though.
Since when does Anonymous have a goddamn leader
and who the hell would call themselves "Commander X"
if this was an inside job, they just need to look for a "pimply-faced kid" who has access to this information
I hope they release all of it
Hah at people actually believing they have "access to every classified database".
Uh huh sure I bet they also have a 13" dick, are alpha as fuck and fit as an underwear model.

That's not how the real world works.
Because of the nature of some classified things, they wouldn't exists in electronic form, or at least in electronic form connected to the internet. CIA Black operations and classified weapons programs are examples. Thus they wouldn't have them
CIA's black operations, if history is to be believed, are basically sending agents trained out of dissidents/emigrants into their deaths and then being fed false information for months.
Edit: CIA has a documented history of hiding it's fuck ups behind the top secret label, both to avoid possible repercussions and to retain atleast some of it's dignity.

Too bad it's impossible to have a good government (with people not diagnosed as maniacs in positions of power like in the 1950-1960s) which doesn't fuck up so bad that it needs to cover it up.
All governments should be 100% transparent.
Anything short of this and corruption begins to take root.
Not completely relevant, but imo secret intelligence agencies and such are nothing but a source of international paranoia and xenophobia that do more harm than good

Militaries are nothing but a source of massive death and bloodshed, but I don't see anybody getting rid of theirs anytime soon.
im still waiting for facebook and twitter to get hacked
Please, this isn't the 20th century anymore. World leading nations won't engage in massive wars against one another and wont for the near or far future. It's borderline paranoiac to assume otherwise.
I like how you ignored the terrorist prospect, terrorists will always exist in whatever form they choose to take.
I remember the good old days when all anonymous did was raid dumb games.
I also have access to every classified database in the U.S. government, but you can't prove me wrong so it must be true.
Haha, I think I saw and/or talked to this guy in a IRC chatroom once. Claim to fame.
Yeah I'm pretty sure this is bullshit to get the upper hand on the US government.
I mean, every classified document? Yeah they surely don't have anything in paper form, and if it can't be emailed to anon, anon won't get it. And besides, if he is moving around constantly, how does he lug around those 50 hard drives?
I hope they release all of it
They won't because they don't have anything.
People who operate under the "anonymous" image (rather than just being anonymous) don't seem to understand the whole concept of actually keeping information as a bargaining offer for blackmail and such. And instead just release everything they have when they get it. If there was anything taken, we'd have seen some of it by now.

Q: As strictly an online army of hackers, how powerful is Anonymous?
A: Anonymous is kind of like the big buff kid in school who had really bad self-esteem then all of a sudden one day he punched someone in the face and went, “Holy s— I’m really strong!” Scientology (one of Anonymous’s first targets) was the punch in the face where Anonymous began to realize how incredibly powerful they are.
So did this guy just read the borderline propaganda on ED and assume it to be true or is he aware that the Scientology Protests (and literally every large-scale operation they've ever conducted) failed to have any lasting impact and just doesn't want to admit it?

Well, to be fair, the scientology thing kind of started this whole "internet revolution" bullshit.
I'm guessing he has been lurking 4chan since that sony shit and is now a totally 1337 anon lulz leader
Anonymous doesn't have a leader, that defeats the whole point of the organization.
Anonymous is ridiculous. :v:

They need an evil James Bond-type leader. Maybe Hank Scorpio.
