I am not from britain but here in germany it's awfully hot as well. I just can't function properly under that heat. When it's cold you can just wear warm clothes but one can't really escape the heat. An AC isn't really worth it for a few weeks a year.
Ssh don't say that, people will start thinking your entire country is a failure because you cannot deal with abnormal heat.

Same here in the Netherlands. It is hot here too for multiple weeks in a row.
It is quite the change from the utter crap that is the normal Dutch summer, that is for sure.
It's been fairly wet up here in Scotland. It was pouring with rain a few days ago.
It rained once yesterday and then the sun decided it was having none of that.

It's fine we're all in this together and we can gang up on America after China attacks them.

I haven't seen the sun all week. I guess it's because I'm on the west coast.
Highs today around 35C here in Massachusetts. I feel so bad for you guys, because at least we have water. :(

So do we, it's Britain man, it rains all year round, we have water enough to last us for years.
I must be like the only person liking this weather, being able to go swim in the thames and actually come out into warmer temperature is nice despite all the rat piss and victorian era sewage in there.
It was raining on the otherside of town an hour ago for a bit.
You kidding, it was raining today and more showers are on the way
In Perth we have gotten hardly any rainfall, considering we are far away from everything, it's a bit of a worry.
It's been pretty nice in Manchester, don't know why everyones saying it's so hot, unless you're literally in the sun all day.
Open the window, get a fan on, open your doors in your house.
If you're still hot, you need to lose some weight.
I wish it would just be 20c here all the time, its about right imo then I wouldn't complain

I went out yesterday in the thinnest clothes I have, and I was fucking boiling.
It particularly bad since I have hardly any clothes fit for the summer, I don't even own shorts.
Man I wish my area rained all the time, I love bad weather.
Summer sucks so bad. I can't wait for winter, it is the best season.
Yes i would take a common cold over hayfever any day.

I'm slim and I've been wearing shorts every day since this heatwave begun along with every window being open in my home along with most doors being open. I'M STILL HOT GOD DAMNIT.

Also a good idea for people to get cool is to wet a cloth and then put it either on the back of your neck or your wrists. Instant cooling satisfaction.
Maybe now people will understand why this weather is so 'hot' to us.
I'm loving this weather (except at night), and I have noticed it's been abnormally long since it last rained here in the north-east. We're doing really well though, our local reservoir looks unaffected.

with all the rain you guys got it's no surprise, humidity must be horrid over there.
This whole thing reminds me of that Spongebob episode where they go to Sandy's house
also reminds me of the one where Squidward moves into a neighborhood of other Squidwards

That's more of a swamp cooler than just air con, which I think is better so excellent work.

Meanwhile over here in Texas we had a ton of rain this week and its summer. That almost never happens anymore [around here at least]. We stole the rain sorry
Party like its 1766.
Every day I get on a bus to go to work, a bus that takes 30 minutes each way with no air flow, dry heat and is crowded.
Any person who says it's nothing compared to their country. Do that everyday and see how you feel then.
This happened last year in the midwest and great plains, it was disgusting, all the grass died and every yard looked like a patch of dirt, and at one point it didn't rain for 40 days straight.
