Again, I am completely undecided at this point. I am not getting a Playstation 4 because I don't know enough about it. I am not getting an Xbox One because I don't know much about it.
What I saw from Xbox today, seemed very interesting. If they can make it work and turn it into a gaming machine, I think it will be perfect.
We still have E3 to look forward to. As far as anyone knows at E3, Microsoft is going to unveil the Xbox One as an ultimate gaming machine that is perfect in every way.
Maybe they will unveil a piece of shit that only runs facebook games. No one knows, but I am waiting until that point before I start spouting off that one console is better than the other like some people on this forum.
Well we saw enough to have "first impressions" and those impressions are "more social media/entertainment shit", some racin', some shootin' and some FOOTBAWL. We can expect XBL to charge for multiplayer because that's a huge money printing machine for them, we can expect advertisements and more Microsoft services being integrated (Skype/Skydrive/Zune Music/Internet Explorer). Don't imagine Microsoft changing their "one free update per title" rule for developers. Don't imagine them changing their focus on AAA (multiplatform) games on the front page while the indie games get the shaft.
Also I would imagine they didn't put that Kinect in there for the sake of voice recognition and Skyping, they said they have about 15 exclusive titles. I'm going to take a wild guess and say half or more of those games will be kinect/family games.

The games on each console is a subjective rating. If you really like Who wants to be a millionaire and its only on Xbox that's great. Xbox now has an exclusive that Who wants to be a millionaire fans love. That doesn't mean that I can say, "well you have to like this console, Playstation doesn't have who wants to be a millionaire."
The games available for the consoles is PURELY opinion based on whether or not you like them.
God of War? Okay, so? Doesn't impress me, I wasn't going to buy it, so why should I care its on that system?
I am looking at what the system offers, if it fits into my life style, and is it going to be a machine I am going to enjoy.
Okay but the thing you need to accept is the Xbox 360 disappointing past 2008-2009 for most people. It was E3 conference after E3 conference of "where are the games Microsoft?" and in return they gave us more Kinect, family games, "integrate your xbox lifestyle with your tablet device" and "oh here's Halo _ or Gears of War _ for you hardcore guys out there". The biggest thing at those conferences was footage of the latest Call of Duty, which was later released that year on every platform ever.
Of course people are going to be hostile towards Microsoft now.
It's essentially Xbox with five Halo games and five Gears of War games (and Viva Pinata) vs Playstation with too many exclusives to count.
This thread is sure a nice read before falling asleep.
Anyway, i just want to note that microsoft has basically created mid-end pc with limited features. They literally took all the downsides of pc gaming while removing all the upsides of console gaming.
I will not side with sony or microsoft till i see end-products, but i must say: this is not what people want from consoles.

I know the Xox 360 track record. However, this isn't the Xbox 360. They could have learned, it could be different. I find it stupid to dislike it purely based on the fact that they released 10% of the total information about it in an hour.
Also, you keep saying shit racing, shooting, sport shit. You keep trying to type it out to sound as stereotypical stupid as you can, which I'll let you know now actually makes you look more stupid than the people who enjoy those games, but I digress.
Are you trying to imply that the Playstation doesn't have the vroom vrooms, the pew pews, and the run fasts ball throw/kickers? (I tried to do the stupid thing, you are my idol.)
You are proving how big your fanboy epeen is every post.
You keep posting things that both consoles share, yet its negative for the xbox to have it.
Both have racing games. Racing sucks only for xbox. Both have shooting games. Shooting games suck if on xbox. Both have sports games. Sports suck if they are on xbox.
You can't have this stupid double standard and expect people to take you seriously.
Honestly, mature a little or a lot and come back and have a civilized discussion after E3.

Good, then maybe the Sony & Microsoft consoles will finally die, good riddance.

The consoles have only been announced, yet the second campaign of the great console war is in full force.

First impressions are important. Microsoft royally screwed the pooch today and they're going to have to pull off the E3 to end all E3s to win back the consumer favor they lost.

I am probably 100% wrong.
But I would think they would keep this for the casual user who is going to enjoy the kinect and who is going to enjoy the media center.
Then E3 comes along and they say, fuck it to the media people and just straight gaming.
Honestly, if I was in their position that is exactly how I would do it.

So, what happens if you get a new Xbox?
So, what happens if you get a new Xbox?
You got a new Xbox.
Well this sucks. Even though I've already decided to buy the PS4 this cripples my friend habit of loaning a game from a friend to try it out before buying it himself because of the "Lol demos? What are those?" -trend that is going on.
I don't think that used Xbox One games are gonna be non existent. It's just gonna be a pain in the ass market.
Those used games will cost just as much as they do these days in GameStop for example. Only difference is that on top of the price you pay for gamestop, you will pay X amount of money for microsoft also to install that game on your console.
I don't think were talking about 1 - 5$ per new activation. I'm guessing something like 10 - 15$ per new activation for a new profile.
That makes the used game cost almost as much as a brand new one.
Microsoft can go fuck themselves. This is going to backfire HARD.
