You guys jump on the bandwagon so fast when you know nothing it is hilarious.
We have seen practically nothing from the PS4, maybe we should wait about taking sides before we actually know everything and look like idiots.
There is no way I'm going to end up looking like an idiot. I refuse to pay to play games online that I bought. I refuse to be advertised to when I'm paying $60 a year for gold. I refuse to pay for Netflix and YouTube on my television when it's free on every other device in existence.
The first one says "If you're on a different computer you can't play your games"
the second says "If you're on a different account on the same computer you can't play your games"
oh i see what you mean now, well they were meant to both be worded in the second way you described it anyhow. But either way, that's how it'd work regardless of the rig you're on though. If i then logged onto my friends PC who has a steam account, but use my account, if i try to run one of his installed games I don't own it wont work either, I've gotta log onto his account to run those
you know alternatively
we let consoles die
and go pc 4 lyfe
nah but then that'll get scummed up
I hate this fucking industry so much

He means, you pay for Netflix subscription, but to watch Netflix on the Xbox you also need a Gold Subscription.
i think the new xbox was just designed to tear our FamilyPunch apart and its working :(

Or be PC/PS4 master race and enjoy all those exclusives, PC for everything else.
Consoles are great devices, they provide a much different experience than PCs do. You will never have the ability to lug your rig over to a friends, hook it up and play split screen racing games or fighting games or any of that (unless you spent a load of money on a micro atx build but generally those clock to $1200 +, which isn't viable to most people who just want a box to sit down at after a hard day of work and play some games)
I don't think I hate microsoft I think I really fucking hate rabid fanboys who need to explain why their toy is still the best toy cause they're LOYAL
Alright then don't, but when everyone jumps and takes ps4 side when they didn't show a console or announce anything about the console itself besides show a few games and a controller I think it is a little naive.
For all we know sony could be doing a lot of the same things. Everyone here is a self proclaimed PC gamer and jumping sides to a company product we know little about is just dumb.

I really wish everyone who said they were just going to get the PS4 because the Xbox One sucks had to sign an agreement forcing them to buy a PS4. Then when the PS4 is finally released it is in the shape of a giant pink dildo, and you have to prop it up under your TV for all to see while you play.
Not because I don't like the PS4. I don't know enough about the PS4 yet or the Xbox One to make a decision either way. But because, Xbox One releases any information and all of a sudden, it is shit.
"Xbox One will use electricity."
"Whelp that's that, getting a PS4, fuck electricity!"

soo the primary appeal of consoles would be
playing games with your friends on a couch?
Maybe at someone elses house?

I'm sorry everyone ;_;
netflix isn't free though
Accessing your account is though. There isn't another device on the planet that I need to pay to use Netflix on. It has and always should be "have membership? Log in and watch"
I dunno the whole PC GAMING MASTER RACE argument is really tired and it's like comparing apples and oranges nowadays.
One is used for things such as internet browsing, media editing, gaming, whathave you, while the other is used for gaming primarily, films, all in one affordable box with a larger screen.
don't get me wrong I try to get a majority of my games on the PC but my consoles are great for when I want to relax and watch a movie or play some third person action games
Why do they call it the xbox one?
[sp]Because you take one look at it and walk away[/sp]
"You don't hold the opinions I hold? You must be a fanboy."
Not what I'm saying.
I'm saying don't defend the XboxOne just because it says XboxOne. I want to hear actual reasons why this is the console for you, why this is perfect. Why paying fees for used games is a great idea.
Why do they call it the xbox one?

No, because you turn 1 degree and walk towards it at a slightly different angle.
Accessing your account is though. There isn't another device on the planet that I need to pay to use Netflix on. It has and always should be "have membership? Log in and watch"
That isn't the point, no one expects you to pay for xbox live to watch netflix.
The app is there for people who pay to play games on xbox live and also have a netflix subscription.
In many cases it is easier to just watch netflix on xbox then it is to hook up your tv to your computer or if you have a smart tv switch it over to the netflix app.
I wish people would stop defending xbox with examples like this with other companies GOD
Really though everyone hates xbox anyway so if there is fuel you will all glady use it
soo the primary appeal of consoles would be

In person multiplayer interaction, film, general gaming, things like that
computers are superior in regards to fidelity and the ability to keep your rig upgraded to the newest top of the line gear, but they can't really match the feeling of having a buddy smack the controller out of your hand in Mario Kart or watching a movie with your girl on the couch.

Depending on where the fees go for the used games, I completely agree with it. If developers get that money back, sure have at it.
I was pissed knowing Gamestop is getting 100% of the profits of a used game sale. That is bull shit, why should Gamestop make even more money when taking money from the developer.
If Microsoft has this money going back to developers, GO FOR IT!
Why is the Xbox One for me? So far, I like the idea of having everything controlled by the one box. I don't buy used games, so I don't really care about that aspect of it. Nor do I take my Xbox stuff to other houses. I use my consoles for online console gaming and that is it in terms of gaming.

I'll gladly sign that. The exclusives already look great and we haven't seen much. The Playstation 3 was DEFINITELY the best console in recent years due to all the exclusives.
I mean these are just the top off my head, Demon's Souls, The Last of Us, Uncharted 1/2/3, Twisted Metal, Resistance 1/2/3, Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper, Metal Gear Solid 4, Yakuza 3/4, Heavy Rain, the new game made by the developers of Indigo Prophecy and Heavy Rain that's coming out soon, Motorstorm Apocalypse, Playstation All Stars.
I already have mine preordered.

How can you rationalize that? It's free to use on EVERY OTHER DEVICE/PLATFORM EVER. It doesn't use Microsoft's bandwidth. It's simply watching Netflix on your television using that big box you paid $300-$500 for.

It's not perfect, agreed. I don't think they really expect to make a massive sum of revenue off of the whole used games fee, it's more to kill off the used game market. Sure borrowing games is fun and all, and i understand it sucks that something like that has to get coupled with used game sales, but atleast you can tell your friend your XBL info or something if they borrow some of your games.
i totally agree it's not perfect though, but it's not like they're doing it to just fuck the consumers over.

My argument fell apart because I pointed out the fact that you can't really fit two people into a computer chair?

Maybe the price will still be equal to what it's like to just flat out buy a used game now? Just saying, it's a possibility.

Oh yes because physical games being tied to an account is exactly the same as a device using electricity.
