Thing is, the land belongs to the Ukraine. If they want their own government, or they want Russia to govern, they are free to leave the Ukrainian soil under Ukrainian rule and join the Russian soil under Russian Rule.
In this case, throwing a fit against the Ukraine on their own soil and it's people is an attempt to meld things their way, in an egoistical sense - since they want to choose both the soil and the government (in addition, while working in the disinterest of the majority of the Ukraine's - the [I]whole[/I] countries, not just a region's - people), where they normally should be able to choose only one (since that doesn't interfere with either peoples living in their country).
In layman terms, they're crybabies that refuse to accept that not everything resolves around themselves, and they have to make a choice. Either they live where they want, or they're governed by who they want.
I have the sudden urge to start a protest to have conscript banned.
