• Kinder Surprise Eggs now kind-of legal in the US

kinder eggs are stuck in a legal loophole that forbids non-edible things to be placed inside food. now the US government could easily give kinder an exemption to this law but the government wont because Mexicans use kinder eggs to smuggle drugs into america. they do sell kinder chocolate bars in america though
Id much rather have a motherfucking Kinder Bueno. edit: Whoops i mean...
it makes me sad that apparently there were people that were just so stupid they apparently swallowed that shit
Kids
Kids
Not even kids are dumb enough to swallow that shit
Wow, I thought I was making a joke but it turns out I'm the Nostradamus of Candy! I may go to the corner shop and get one now...
Yeah it really is, the best I was able to find were empty Kinder eggs. Even though they were still delicious the best part of a Kinder egg was the surprise inside :(.
The "surprises" have grown progressively lamer over the years. When I was a kid they were like full-on contraptions, now they're like two- or three-piece things with minimal assembly required and minimal fun factor.
as an american who takes frequent trips to Germany i remember when kinder eggs were full-out models with like 10 pieces and you got spring loaded cars and cool shit. i bought some on my last trip 3 years ago and my god kinder eggs are so shit now, they all have dumb statues now like a Mc. Donald's kids meal toy
I remember getting those as a kid in the Netherlands, will be awesome to finally be able to get them here in the US.
edit: Whoops i mean...
Kinder Buenos are fucking amazing, they rank right up there with Daim bars.
My local corner store has had them for awhile now.
I once had one with a nest of baby spiders inside. I'm not even fucking joking I was seven D:
Well I'll never ever eat one now.
I never understood why they needed that kid on the front
I remember they had an online contest or something were people could submit their kids pictures and vote to have it become an official print on the box. 4chan found it and submitted that one kid (Can't remember the name of it. I think the Kid had a blond bowl cut and the face of Satan) and voted him to the top. Not sure what happened after that. I'd post the image but I can't find it.
Just wondering, why are these illegal but fortune cookies are fine?
can't choke on paper
the FDA is a massive joke, if you go and do research in what they allow and do not allow to the general public you will be flabbbergasted kinder eggs on the other hand are fucking tasty, the last time I ate one was while tripping on shrooms. kinder eggs make great trip toys
Just wondering, why are these illegal but fortune cookies are fine?
might be the fact that a strip of paper's not a giant plastic shell and a toy with small parts. not gonna choke on it. though honestly I'd think anyone dumb enough to try and swallow the whole damn thing before realizing it's a plastic egg and a toy may have issues not solvable by mass-regulating that kind of food item
Why fill the eggs with toys when you can fill them with actual eggs? [sp]it's just white and yellow fondant[/sp]
Kinder Surprise has gotten quite bad here in Germany. It's not illegal or something but pretty much 95% of the time the surprise is something that is either already build together, just one brick thing or the pieces won't fit right. Also I have a whole cookie metal box full of the surprise stuff before 2008 where they were at least somewhat interesting. Still not as bad as in fucking America, I mean seriously, either they are just fucking around or they are really stupid and want to make the whole situation even more crazier than it already is.
They're cheap and nasty but also quite charming.
Are you fucking daft? They're delicious.
Do they think Americans are so stupid that they would try and fucking eat these like snakes, because it's damn hard not to know they have plastic in the center. I mean us Canadians have had these things for decades and I don't believe many people have died from them

why do they have to put toys inside of chocolate anyway? put them next to the chocolate or something, who even cares then suddenly it's no longer a choking hazard.
Buenos are good? Then this is godlike.
why do they have to put toys inside of chocolate anyway? put them next to the chocolate or something, who even cares then suddenly it's no longer a choking hazard.
The toy is the Surprise, if they wouldn't do it it would just be another chocolate easter egg.

I am one of those guys who enjoy a nice happy hippo from time to time. They don't beat all the other stuff but they are nice in their own way.
Wait? They're not supposed to sell those here? But I used to get them all the time when I was little. We had this small shop that sold all kinds of German chocolate, shit was so good yo. Best thing I got was some tiny little futuristic fighter jet thingy. I miss that store.
