You have a reason. that guy doesn't.
Wow, you must know that guy in real life or be psychic to know why he posted that.
Durp.

The point is, he didn't voice that reason. He just blurted out "I hate apple lolol".
"We are ready to suit up and go against anyone."
Apple iMech?
Patents like this are bullshit. Things like dynamite or carbon nanofibres are worth a patent. A specifically arranged menu or design are not.
The point is, he didn't voice that reason. He just blurted out "I hate apple lolol".
oh no, of all the terrible things he could do, how dare he post something stupid.
and about apple too.
Companies should concure with real features and quality, not fancy designs somebody with a good idea shat out during one afternoon.
The US patent system needs to be sorted out, how apple managed to get a patent for those I have no idea.
How Motorola managed to get patents and successfully sue Apple for "wireless email", I have no idea either.
How the fuck is technology meant to advance with petty law suits like this being filed left right and centre?
There should be a two year grace period or something. If your company develops a new, innovative idea, you get the monopoly on that for two years. After which, other companies can draw upon that idea without being sued for millions, thus gradually advancing existing technology.
"It's good for business"
Do you really think these people are interested in advancing science? they are only interested in profits.

I suppose you're right.
If only, though.
A patent is very specific to one product, one function, or one process. And when I say specific, I mean down to tiny details like loading time and process to access.
If it turns out that Motorola's devices are even slightly different than Apple's devices, the lawsuit will go basically nowhere and cost Apple a lot of money.
I wouldn't get it since it can easily be proven that somebody else thought of it before I did.
Reminds me of the some guys who patented the production of cars back in the early 20th century in the US. Basically Ford had to pay ridiculous sums just to build cars.
I really wish there was a committee of BUllshit Lawsuits who would throw out cases like this or, "Oh god I had hot coffee in my lap and I hit a bump and burned myself! But I didn't know it was hot!"
I wouldn't get it since it can easily be proven that somebody else thought of it before I did.
not if you patent a time machine
How about apples abysmal business practices? Their methodology of being an incredibly socially conservative company? How about it's not only closed source, it's very much "Do what we let you"?
[sarcasm]Yeah, no one has a valid reason to hate apple... [/sarcasm]
They are a fucking amazing company! Have you seen their stock prices? All of this bullshit pays off for them in the long run.
Theres more sueing going on here than a Nike Sweat shop
Yeah, because Motorola is suing them for basically EVERYTHING phone related. They're suing for MobileMe, the App Store, antenna design, wireless email, location based services and more.
oh yeah, let's not make a news post about how Nokia's suing Apple, Motorola, Qualcomm, Samsung, Sharp, Toshiba, Hitatchi, and LG..
Because those lawsuits are not recent news. This was posted last night. Do I think the US patent system is fucked up? Yes, I do, but I don't think suing is the answer, especially when you try to create a competitive market.
Steve Jobs, doin his litigation arounds again huh?
They sue just as heavily as Rambus, and for dumb shit like these dumb IP patents.
Apple is just butt-hurt because Android is Rick Rossin' it
literally everyone except a select few in this thread are retards. Every company does this to everyone else, this isn't apple exclusivity. ya fucking knobs
Apple is just butt-hurt because Android is Rick Rossin' it
no, they're just counter-suing motorola's bullshit lawsuit over wireless email
no, they're just counter-suing motorola's bullshit lawsuit over wireless email
Oh, here comes the resident iFag to defend everything and anything apple.
c'mon now, you're just ignorant if you think motorola's lawsuit is justified but this isn't
Oh, here comes the resident iFag to defend everything and anything apple.

c'mon now, you're just ignorant if you think motorola's lawsuit is justified but this isn't
Who said I thought it was? I never said I did. But you defend apple blindly. Why should I do anything but laugh at you?
Oh, here comes the resident iFag to defend everything and anything apple.

Who said I thought it was? I never said I did. But you defend apple blindly. Why should I do anything but laugh at you?

Who said I thought it was? I never said I did. But you defend apple blindly. Why should I do anything but laugh at you?
i'm not blindly defending apple, i'm defending them in this specific thread because people are acting stupid. laugh if you wish; because tbh i could care less if some guy laughed at me on the internet..:v:
I personally find hating Apple is being very Hipster.
They are a popular company, tons of people use iPods, tons also use iPhones.
I go to their stores and they are filled with people trying out Macs and prodding iPads.
This entire thread seems to be a bunch of smug dicks called 'Apple Users' battling against a bunch of smug dicks called 'PC Users'.
