Did any guards die?
That's completely missing the point. 350+ people JUST LIKE YOU died today, and you're effectively writing them off as worse than you because they've made a bunch of stupid choices. What's to say some of those people couldn't have been artists? Writers? Scientists? Even just innocent pot smokers? Somebody in that fire could have cured cancer. Statistically unlikely, but possible. Your attitude to this is just... reprehensible. Also, why the hell did nobody open the doors? Surely the prison has a yard or something that the prisoners could have all run to.
Anyone who made a bunch of stupid choices that got them into jail isn't "just like me" because I haven't made a bunch of stupid choices that got me into jail.
Perhaps the prisoners before they burn to dea... oh shit they burnt to death.

Horrible? Absolutely. But I'd rather have a lot of criminals die in a fire then a lot of civilians. [editline]A[/editline] Seriously, its sad that they died but they are convicted criminals of serious crimes. If this where a jail full of people convicted of 3 DUIs, it would be a different story, but its not. 66% of all people in jail go back there on a repeat offense. [editline]B[/editline] 10% of the people, use 90% of the resources. Frankly them dying is honestly helping the government save money
Don't try and start a flame war. :v:
Don't try and start a flame war. :v:
Thanks for the heads up.. I guess.
it says right there on the third line.
'such as' meaning only a few people actually held those crimes to their name

It's not like rebuilding costs money or anything. Oh and the cost of healthcare for the injured. But hey at least 450 filthy criminals burned to death. Yay! But really though? You had to point out the stunningly obvious that goes without saying just sound like an asshole? That would be like me commenting on a burning retirement home with 300 elderly dead saying "well at least it wasn't 300 children".
I had a dream involving burning mexican grocery stores. Strange.
Who the hell designed that prison, designer failed modern human architecture 101.
Oh, that's too bad. Burning to death and smoke asphyxiation are some of the worst ways to die.
