never forget this great video.
Oh, Canada!
America hasn't been divided into two since the 1860's and it probably won't happen again, so good luck with that.
I thought it was divided in two already. Red and Blue, right
If ISIS expands to the point where they step a serious foot on the American continents we've already lost. Iran will be their boss fight if they manage to survive the Kurds and the airstrikes to take Baghdad and the rest of Iraq. If Baghdad falls then the rest of Iraq would probably quickly fall, too. But then there's also Syria and the Assad regime which we know would rather gas their own country before it lets ISIS and rebels take over. And we know Iran would rather turn Iraq into a crater than let them be taken over by ISIS. Not considering car bombs or random terror attacks, they got a long way to go before they consider the US.
They're obviously never going to actually come to the US in force. The worst they could do is send some people over here to attempt to wage terror bombing campaigns and such. That would be bad, sure, but it would also be a disastrous distraction for ISIS. If their one and only goal is truly to establish and operate an Islamic state, then attacking the American homeland is the last thing they want to do. It doesn't serve any of ISIS' political objectives, and even in the most optimistic crazy-ass ISIS mind it means many years of expensive and difficult war with America and it's allies.
This was their main split from Al Qaeda. AQ wanted to focus on Bin Laden's old far enemy doctrine and keep trying to attack the US. IS wanted to take territory and establish a nation.
Guess they didn't enjoy those Predator Drone Strikes
He's saying that now until he sees the results of a hellfire missile.
Well yeah, once you've been divided in two, or into many small bits, I imagine you no longer want to inflict that on others.
Doesn't Canada already do this?
The Pacific Ocean as well; poor Philippines :(

Oh wait this is a book
No terrorist organization should ever be ignored, especially when we're talking about a well trained/disciplined group with modern equipment like ISIS. Though their threats are laughable at times, they pose a huge threat to the region.
They are no terrorist organization.
K
Everybody is going to jump at me with the US list of terrorist organizations and so from other countries, but lets be honest, at the stage they are, they far from being a cell or some underground group which is what has characterized terror groups for decades.

Yeah you are right, but the damage they can inflict by just starting to spread fear is just too dangerous. I mean, if you read how the 9/11 attack affected the US economy you can see that a group this capable can do some serious shit with just 1 guy equipped with no more than 200$ worth of military equipment.

Then the homeland attacks are ruled out. I don't really can visualize any scenario in this case that the US sees it interests attacked in a direct way...Iran is impossible for them to take no fucking way, Russia and/or China would take hands into the matter directly and the Iranian army is just too powerful for them to handle...Israel is also impossible...Syria...just as OvB said is also impossible. The only thing they've got is to consolidate inside Iraq and try to manage the oil economy from there and or expand their influence. Afghanistan might become more of a shit hole after this and I can't see what would happen with Pakistan...
We've been divided in two for quite a while now.
Try again ISIS.
Are they gonna invade America with rowboats then?
Nah, they're probably already in the country mate.
