This moderation is really stupid. You just get banned for having a different opinion than anyone. He didn't even do anything you know what he didn't even have that opinion. He was just saying some people think that it's like permabanning is just a funny joke to you. But now he can never post again
FP isn't a democracy, having certain (read: shitty) opinions will get you banned, and if that opinion is "kill and rape should be ok we're all gonna die anyway" no one's gonna miss having it around. it would be shitty moderation if you got banned for being conservative/communist/liberal/etc

Facepunch in general do allow people to have very unpopular and morally questionably views, but usually draw the line when someones views are blatantly bigoted or morally disgusting.
Frankly, I doubt Glasgow at those hours on a friday night are entirely safe in general.
It's the same as every other city for fuck sake, it's not like you step into Glasgow and you suddenly enter the Mad Max universe.
I don't have a problem with people urging people to take precautions. I do, however, take issue when people refer to this stuff as 'common sense'. There is no such thing. What seems like common sense to you may never occur to someone else and for a variety of reasons, not just the oh so classic "They're dumb." For example I was not aware that either Glasgow or the top decks of buses were so infamous for housing violence, but then again I've never been to the place, nor do I have any prior knowledge of it. It is simply a place I have vaguely heard of.
