A bomb is nothing more than an unrestrained reaction, nuclear or chemical alike. My Chemical Engineering friends get asked a lot if they know how to make drugs because of the popularity of Breaking Bad. All you gotta do is understand how to carry out the reactions. Chemists and ChemE's learn it in a proper chemistry lab, methheads learn it in a makeshift lab using kitchen pots and pans. It sounds to me like the IT guy didn't have a fundamental understanding of how emails work. There's nothing wrong with learning on the job, but asking something this specific for something very sensitive [I]and then getting caught[/I] probably wasn't the greatest idea.

Of course its not illegal to know or learn how to do something illegal (which is exactly what forensics does), but you normally don't want people knowing that you are looking up stuff or they might get the wrong idea.

am I dumb or does this not make any sense? he wanted to strip the email address from emails, what's wrong with that? he didn't want people to know the address was [email]hillary@hillaryclintonemail.com[/email] (something like that). just replaced with "hillary" or similar. why is this a problem?
