I predict a shitstorm of prehistoric proportions followed by a thread lock and ban spree, in the very near future. I'm gettin' the fuck outta here!
Can't say they didn't deserve it..
Good.
He's a fucking FBI agent, he should be able to take down a 15 year old.
it's hard to tell who a person is and their age when he's just put a gun to your head and ran off down the road, it was likely impossible to know at the time. a 15 year old? sure, probably easy to take down. a 15 year old with a potential firearm is a whole nother ball game.
That FBI agent is now on my list of heroes.
He shot a 15 year old kid and he's your hero?
He's a fucking FBI agent, he should be able to take down a 15 year old.
yeah but he didn't know they only had a fake gun
He's a fucking FBI agent, he should be able to take down a 15 year old.
Not if he thought the guy was armed, chasing after him to tackle him would logically lead to getting shot. Not to mention there was 2 guys that mugged him.
How? :allears:
The FBI agent saw the suspect so he could give a description of him. Surveillance videos and having someone recognize them. Also, friends/associates, etc. ratting on the person.
He shot a 15 year old kid and he's your hero?
He shot an armed thug up to no good and with a ticket to any federal building in his hands. Guy is my hero, too :)
He shot a 15 year old kid and he's your hero?
Just stop it with this shit. It gets tiring everytime someone says stuff like this in every police involved situation. He reacted properly.
Oh yeah, also doesn't the FBI use .40 S&W... or was it .357 SIG? :eng99:
The FBI agent saw the suspect so he could give a description of him. Surveillance videos and having someone recognize them. Snitches get stitches [editline]09:36PM[/editline]
Oh yeah, also doesn't the FBI use .40 S&W... or was it .357 SIG? :eng99:
FBI designed .40 S&W after taking 10mm and not liking it. I think standard nowadays, though is .45 auto amongst most LEO agencies...
Oh yeah, also doesn't the FBI use .40 S&W... or was it .357 SIG? :eng99:
If the dumbass kid couldn't find it, it was probably an ankle-holstered firearm, which would probably be a small-caliber firearm.
Hardly a hero. I think some of you guys are shitheads for praising this. I'd saying he was within his rights, though. Still, nothing to be proud of. He just did his job. All the praise for bloodshed is pretty sick, I think you kids watch too many movies, you need a reality check.

But to turn around and fucking shoot the kid?
Seems a little trigger happy. The suspect was fleeing and no longer posed an imminent threat. The FBI agent CHASED him and then shot him in the back. The better solution would have been to just call the police. I wouldn't support pressing charges against him, but I think he could have handled the situation better.
You called?
Not if he thought the guy was armed, chasing after him to tackle him would logically lead to getting shot. Not to mention there was 2 guys that mugged him.
So you fucking potentially kill the kid?
So you pin all the hopes of catching the guy on the off chance there is a security camera nearby, or that one of his dirtbag friends rats him out? Snitches get stitches
All I'm saying is I don't think he should have chased him down and shot him in the back.
I think standard nowadays, though is .45 auto amongst most LEO agencies...
Most LEO agencies in America use the Glock 22 (.40 S&W).
True, the FBI agent couldn't have known. But to turn around and fucking shoot the kid?
What don't you get about someone with the ability to stop a person from running around with a gun, stopping said person?
He shot an armed thug up to no good and with a ticket to any federal building in his hands. Guy is my hero, too :)
Of course he is. Let me guess, double points if the kid was black? [editline]04:40AM[/editline]
What don't you get about someone with the ability to stop a person from running around with a gun, stopping said person?
you don't shoot children with pellet guns
Of course he is. Let me guess, double points if the kid was black?
Nope, not a racist like yourself. Same point spread across the board.
you don't shoot children with pellet guns
How do you know its a pellet gun?
The FBI agent saw the suspect so he could give a description of him. Surveillance videos and having someone recognize them. Also, friends/associates, etc. ratting on the person.
None of which prevent further crimes in the meantime This isn't London, there aren't 700395829686928642968 cameras, friends... Ratting on him? You ever hear of 'no snitching'? It's so bad that there was some kid in Chicago who was mortally wounded yet refused to say the name of the person who shot him despite telling the police he knew who it was. Also what use would a description do when he's a armed police officer right there and then, rather then wait 2 weeks for someone to finally report the mugger if anyone.
This may be a stupid question, but exactly how fast do average bullets travel? What's the speed of it?
Nope, not a racist like yourself. Same point spread across the board.
Extra points if he had a mother who loved him and he died, though :v:
you don't shoot children with pellet guns
Didn't know he was a teenager, didn't know it was a pellet gun, etc. He made the right decision.
This may be a stupid question, but exactly how fast do average bullets travel? What's the speed of it?
Around 1500 feet per second, but it depends on the caliber, the weight and the gun it's fired from. [editline]09:42PM[/editline]
Extra points if he had a mother who loved him and he died, though :v:
Only if he kills her, too. Combo!
This may be a stupid question, but exactly how fast do average bullets travel? What's the speed of it?
Pistol (low caliber..) rounds are like 900-1300 feet per second generally. Rifle rounds (higher caliber/power) more around 2000-3000 area.
There really is no defending it, even though some people here are going to naturally just assume every action a law enforcement officer ever takes is immediately bad. The 15 year old acted stupidly, the FBI agent acted correctly, no doubt about it. He shot him to disable an armed gunman from running around terrorizing the community with a gun. You can argue against this all day but it's the job of law enforcement to protect the community, and that involves not letting some lunatic gunman (who had already demonstrated violent action by pointing it at someones head and threatening/robbing them) run off to harm the community. I don't know what could go through someones mind to actually defend criminals harming innocent people. If you have such an overzealous hate for law enforcement that you actually support innocent people getting robbed/hurt/killed by a lunatic with a gun, just to get your stupid fucking point across, then you are truly a complete idiot. The FBI agent disabled the threat to the community, and it was not fatal to the gunman. The FBI agent should be praised for his actions in protecting the community.
This may be a stupid question, but exactly how fast do average bullets travel? What's the speed of it?
Depends on the gun and round.
So you fucking potentially kill the kid?
Is there something wrong with shooting someone who wielded a gun and threatened to kill someone? The other conditions don't really matter much, how was the agent supposed to have known the gun was a fake especially during the dark.
