That's not why people are being called Anti Cop

People being called Anti Cop is due to the fact they take it upon themselves to say the entire nation's law enforcement is like this when it's simply not true. You can thank the media for that.

I can sort of understand from the officers' perspective. They might have thought, what ever their rationale, that the subject was turning around to pull out a gun on them.

But isn't this what you'd expect from policing a society that is pretty much 100% saturated with guns.

The chances someone in the UK having a gun on them compared to in the US are different.

You really can't compare 2 different styles of policing like that.
