One last mystery for Stephen Hawking: women (also, his 70th birhtday is Sunday!)

He's almost 70? How has he survived for 48 years with that disease?
On a semi-related note, my grandfather died of ALS.
I wish DARPA finished their brain to speech interface already
Somehow that picture makes him look a little bit like Austin Powers.
I feel bad I laughed as hard as I did.
Whenever I read up on his disease I laugh and then feel bad. The only part I laugh at is this part:
Symptoms of the disorder first appeared while he was enrolled at University of Cambridge; he lost his balance and fell down a flight of stairs, hitting his head. Worried that he would lose his genius, he took the Mensa test to verify that his intellectual abilities were intact.
It's so sad to see such a genius with such a terrible disease.
I think he pre-writes anything long he says and has done for a while.
I hope someone can come up with a way for him to talk easier, like by thinking and having the words come out of the computer.
My father told me about how supposedly, Stephen Hawking was once on the stage during a lecture or something. He was asked a question by an inquisitive mind in the audience.
Unable to speak, he began typing furiously, for a good long time. Tensions grew as a very long reply was expected, and finally it came:
"Yes".
Told he'd be dying in a few years when he was 22 and now 70. Dang.
It's that brain of his man..it's too powerful to die.

Thanks Orkel.
Maybe he's not aging very much because he can't move, and if he can't move he can't really develop wrinkles
I don't think that's how wrinkles work.
