I am pretty sure this was the enduring war dog, and not the Defense 2 war dog.

For anyone who is wondering:

The defense 2 war dog was limited, and I think it only had 1 effect that each of them have.
The defense 2 war dog is also vintage (the vintage quality is going to be renamed to "Elder" soon) and not unusual despite having an effect.
The defense 2 war dog can not be unboxed, and you can only obtain it by trading.

You can still unbox the enduring war dog, but not in this color.
The enduring wardog can be unusual, and non unusual.
You can still unbox, purchase, and find as a drop the enduring wardog.
The Unusual version of the enduring wardog can only be obtained by unboxing or trading.

I also looked at the picture in the article and the war dog there isn't the defense 2 war dog.

except if you knew why it was rare, its not the actual courier, but the effect. if anything its worth MORE because you can extract the effect and apply it to any courier model you want with legacy colors (the very hot pink) being not available anymore. so good job reading the actual article and good job on that article you linked not knowing half the reason why it is worth so much.
