heyyyyy now's a good time for the UN to form a new anti-terrorist coalition
True, even though that's a Deus Ex reference. Mass terrorist attacks on business interests would probably lead to the UN commissioning something like UNATCO, though probably not under that name. Truly a grim dark future we live in when trying to solve the problem would only lead to things possibly getting worse. Another solution should probably be considered, something that doesn't result in overt attacks being drawn up to "terrorism", something more subtle yet effective enough to at least partially fix the problem within our lifetime...
bitcoin is the future of the human race obviously
sadly no because the bitcoin market is being manipulated as well it's a doggy dog world.
everyone would have to stop giving these people power I.E give up on the current society and devolve into anarchy
That's what anonymous want you to do!
aliens must think we're so fucking weird we destroy our planet so we can get more pieces of green paper with imaginary value, then try to fix the problems by throwing said paper at them
aliens must think we're so fucking weird we destroy our planet so we can get more pieces of green paper with imaginary value, then try to fix the problems by throwing said paper at them
I suspect money is still a thing amongst many spacefaring civilisations; the exchanging of goods is universal, and it can be hard to establish an economy without a medium of trade, otherwise it devolves into bartering and haggling. My theory is that the whole money thing was established to simplify the complexities of trading, since different cultures and different people have different perceptions of value; with a unified standard of exchange it becomes easier to trade something for something else, and it becomes less of a matter of mercantile combat in which haggling and bartering occur. Some races might find a way to solve it, but IDK how they'd solve it without monies.
Assume for a second that this is basically what everyone is thinking, a group of megacorporations controlling basically everything that people pay for any goods. You're not going to be able to stop it, at all, even if you kill whoever is in control then there's no way to stop it because they'll just rebuild and do it again. In my opinion there should basically be a Praetorian Guard and their sole purpose should be to watch out for stuff like this and stop it by any means necessary.
Then just do it again, over and over and over again. But how could someone/some group grow/stay powerful enough to do that without becoming corrupt? The amassment of power both requires and leads to a focus more on amassing power than on any other goal. Power corrupts, because in order to gain and maintain that power, you need to strive for power itself, absolute power corrupts absolutely, because in order to maintain absolute power, you must corrupt the system that allowed you to obtain it. [editline]25th April 2013[/editline] Of course, this is all caused by a mental illness, sociopathy, so perhaps the only way to combat it would be with another. Find an give power to those who are compelled by there own inner demons to do good (a good bit more rare than, sociopathy, and the screening/selection process would have to be unprecedented though) All of this is speculation really, a younger me would have been truly outraged by all this, now I accept it. I even accept that I must allow myself to be a little corrupt in order to fare well. I know truly selfless people, perhaps the pinnacle of what it is to be human, and, invariably, their lives are a constant struggle by that very same cause.

I don't know shit about economics really, this article is basically saying everything is rigged and the American dream is dead because higher ups decide who wins and who doesn't?
Whats the point in even living?!?! [thumb]http://www.toprankblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/susanica.jpg[/thumb]
Just do stuff you enjoy. Fuck the rest.
How about we do something to throw these fucks out of power, financial or political. But no, lets just keep making cheeky remarks about how insane conspiracists are and assume all of them are like david icke.
Thing is it's gonna take a pretty big effort to pinpoint who the head honchos are, since we don't want too much collateral.
The sad part is that most likely nothing is going to change. I, a mere college student can do jack shit. The most I can do is raise awareness, but unless the people with any sort of power move to put a stop to this it will remain the same. And considering the ludicrous amounts of money these bastards have it's no big deal to bribe the shit out of anyone who opposes them. And if their opposicion prove morally firm, I'm sure they can hire someone to fix their problem via some shady means.

I am just waiting for these fuckers to run this shit into the ground. After that we can have a fresh slate to work with, however many lives will be lost in the process. It's either that, or a call to action to the citizens of US. [editline]26th April 2013[/editline] And, if you think this seems way over the top, just think about how much corruption has been steadily increasing.
THAT'S A LIE SPREAD BY REPTILIANS!

X-Factor. Justin Bieber. Twilight. A talent show. A pop singer. A film. Why is it that these things create such intense and savage loathing in so very many? Is it the music that makes so many so full of hatred? There has been bad music before, and bad films. But has there ever been so many millions united in furious rejection of them? What are they rejecting? Because the passion and intensity of the negative reaction totally outstrips any normal reaction to a bad film, or a bad song, or a bad television show. I think people are starting to see. They are starting to see something else. Not what the individual film, or song, or show is, but what it represents. A massive, bloated, corporate monstrosity that exists to feed the masses into superficiality, silence, and the illusion of free choice between different kinds of garbage.

I don't believe mass death will fix it but that is the only thing that will fix it if we don't take the steps to take these guys down, it's just such an overwhelming task when the entire government is working against you.

Wait you are telling me that people with more wealth and resources have more power than those who don't? HOLD THE FUCKING PRESSES.

I would never knowingly hurt anyone but give me one of these fucks responsible to my hands and I would torture them for years. Why the flying fuck would someone need trillions of money. I would put the fucker in locked room and force feed them money and piss. Every day I would come up with something more sadistic to treat them with. I honestly wish them the most horrible and painful injury. Not death. They would wish for death. Oh the rage...
who cares man just smoke weeeeeeeeeeeeed
Jesus God people. How hard is it to get? Don't fight it head on, you'll only be crushed. The answer is to become a little corrupt yourselves, join the system, and very slowly and slightly push from the inside to make things better. "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em" isn't a joke, it's actually very good advice. I apologize if I come across as harsh, but you'll only get hurt by trying to be too pure and good.
I had a feeling it was this way
I do hope that something does change as I am tired of this shit really come on why would one need so much, I just wished that everyone could be happy with a good amount and let everyone else have some as well.
OMG! I had no idea oh my gosh we need to do something about this guys!!
