This is stupid. There are alot worse things on the internet, but they are not being restricted.

Won't happen, they have tried this before.
I mean people in the UK were outraged by a system which blocks CP (and Wikipedia at one point). Another article on this suggested that ISP's would not be willing to sign up to it if it was voluntary.
If something like this is available it should be entirely opt in IMO. Although if people want to stop their children accessing certain things on the internet THEY should do it with a system they are in charge of not just letting someone else decide what should and should not be blocked.
Personally I think that parents should just trust their children, and not have to restrict them.
How about sites that are technically not about porn, yet still contain fapping material? Like say, 4chan: it has many SFW boards, and some that include lots of pictures of naked things, possibly mating. Or hosting sites like Megaupload and such, where you can find useful documents AND stuff to wank to.
Damn, even Facepunch is dedicated to many different things, yet has some NSFW moments.
They should pretty much block the entirety of the internet. Let's see them enforce this.

It wouldn't stop anything if they just block porn sites, there would still be plenty of ways to find some. It's not like children don't know how to use google. Only way for this to work is it they block everything.

This is going to have the reverse of the desired effect. Without porn to keep people's appetites saited, there will be more occurances of underage sex. Either that or we will lose millions of teenage males to suicides.
