Tried to make a picture that Muslims won't get angry at.
I'm so fucking sick of Muslims.
Me too.
I'm retarded because I'm sick of living in fear?
Rather live in fear of extremists (muslim, christian, whatever extremists) if you want to live in fear of something.
Tried to make a picture that Muslims won't get angry at.
For all we know that could just be a man in a bear mascot costume
Seems this thought belongs somewhere else
Anything that provokes discussion of things that need to be discussed is good. Hopefully it doesn't provoke violence; that's the problem with Islam extremists currently.
"Evolution is a theoretic lie and a falsity!"
Implying that theistic belief has anything to do with science.
Pfft, I hope that all the assholes who do this get attacked by angry Muslims. This is a big FUCK YOU to all of them instead of just the ones that do wrong. I live in a city that probably has more Muslims than Christians and Atheists put together and as you can imagine, most of my friends are Muslim. They're really great, open people who don't give a fuck that I'm an Atheist. A few of them even enjoy South Park, the rest don't really care that much. But pretty much all of them are annoyed that just because a few Atheists took a silly radical threat too seriously, they're going to have a day dedicated to blasphemy. Dicks. Not all Muslims are terrorists.
A fucking car bomb is not "a silly threat".
In response to people mad about this: Go draw Jesus or whatever religious figure of your choice in your own interpretation. You're free to do so. No one is stopping you.
Its like the 50 with people shitting them self over communists all over again. Everything was "communist" and "an act by communists". Today everything is an "act of terrorism". A different age, a different phantom.
The hell are you going on about? First of all, the Red Scare was that people thought communism would take over the nation but they never really received reasons, whereas today people are afraid because they get death threats, vandalism, and mutilated animals sent to them for making a joke. Also, no one said anything about terrorism. Quit trying to create an incident.

Oh my fucking god muslims, chill the fuck out.
With all the rights we got, I don't understand why people feel that they have to strongly assert their basic human right to offend others. I mean this is seriously getting to the grown up equivalent of calling someone a poopiehead. Now while I'm not condoning the death threats, I don't really think what these folk are doing in the name of "free speech" is really constructive or meaningful. There are people who try to directly address this issue in the Middle-East, and in many cases pay with their lives, who should be getting our support, not these self-styled intellectuals. Much less those doing it in the comfort of their homes with relative anonymity that the newspaper publishers don't have.
The hell are you going on about? Typically in the end the people who were heavily targeted tended to be Italians and Eastern Europeans, who considerable portion of the communist, anarchist, and trade unionist groups. Media helped to cement the image of Italians being crazy anarchist bombers for a long time, whereas before they were deemed to be part of a vast papist conspiracy to take over America. While it's still not too relevant to this thread, it can be said the way the media treats this is just as sensational.
I think those who would send death threats because someone drew a picture of Mohammed should chill the fuck out and grow a pair imo.

Am I the only one in this thread who thinks that this is legitimately offensive? It's not like this is just some butthurt religious extremists who are pissed off about people poking fun of their religion, the absence of Muhammed in pictures has been important for Muslims for millenia. It'd be like having a Facebook page where people are supposed to draw swastikas and put them everywhere, then bitch at the Jews and gays when they say that they're offended by it. Free speech or not, directly and intentionally insulting a religion for shock value is fucked.

I think it's time to shut this down, if it is needed then a mod might lock this thread. This may cause offense to a lot of people.
Retoast.
Generalizing an entire populace shared by a common religion to prove a point? That's not committing any logical fallacies at all.
