I want this stuff locked away, it would be good if this was taken away from public viewing and put somewhere else. There are people on this board who may take offense to these pictures. These pictures should be stopped now before anything untoward happens.

Sure, it's an integral part of their religion that they take very seriously. Intentionally making fun of somebody's religious beliefs is no different from making fun of their God, and when you take something that people so dogmatically defend like religion, shit goes down. Defending one's religious beliefs is totally acceptable, especially when people are intentionally making fun of it.

Freedom of speech is also important. Just because it can cause offense doesn't mean it shouldn't be told. Why don't you tell that same thing to people who call all pro-gun guys retarded or stupid?

Religion is far too serious, in my opinion. Especially Muslims, who obviously can't take an effing joke...
Islam is not the only religion that is made fun of, and Muslims certainly have not been discrimimated against as much as, for example, Jews.
If you're offended by this, don't acknoledge it. Censoring things just because someone is offended is actually restricting rights to free speech. This goes for all groups, not just Muslims. We're not trying to offend here.

Well I'd be throwing an even bigger shit storm if the American government banned all pictures of Muhammad in the US; freedom of speech is and has always been an integral part of America and political correctness should NEVER allow an interference between church and state. But do you really need the fucking government to tell you what to do and what not to do? Sure, it's legal to walk around in public parks in KKK robes demanding that blacks be segregated from whites, but do I really need to tell you not to do that? I'm not your fucking mom dude, seriously, and people shouldn't have to rely on their governments to tell them what's socially acceptable and what isn't. I don't see anything wrong with disputing or mocking someone's beliefs or ideals, because the person who has those beliefs has decided to follow them. I'm an athiest, and I think it's well within someone's right to call me a godless heathen.[i]That doesn't mean I think they're right,[/i] but they are entitled to those beliefs. However, doing the same thing over something someone can't change, such as their skin colour, [i]is[/i] wrong, as they have no influence over it.
While I do think it is somewhat disrespectful, I don't think this big of a deal should be made of it. Television companies air cartoons with Jesus in them all the time, just take it easy and mind your own business really, it's not like these people drawing Muhammad are going and stapling the picture to the door of every Muslim out there.
