I remember this happening all the time when I had an xbox, are people gonna start saying Reddit got hacked when it goes under heavy load now?
Yeah, eventually they do have to run maintenance on their servers and make sure things are still running properly. And occasionally something does break and has to be repaired. If it were like the PSN hack, the entire system would be down for everyone, but it isn't. Its just a few parts for some people.
Also, Microsoft isn't stupid enough to try and hide what happened and lie about it and bullshit about it just after their main competitor got slammed for it. That would devastate them too.
Why does everyone assume that a store marketplace down indicates something was hacked? This just looks like some website trying clickbait for ad revenue, not any actual based fact.
This would be like saying if Facepunch stopped working, that it was hacked into and everything stolen.
What a terrible terrible shame.
I wonder if the 12 year old "hurr durr cod y0" faggots will take to the streets and kill old women

Want to know something really cool?
If I had never did experiments to my PCs in terms of OCing and stuff, I would have never ever had a bluescreen of ANY kind.
Back on topic, shit sure is getting crappy for consoles. I hope PC isnt next.

They will grab their parent's hunting rifles, hold them close to the cheek and spin around on the streets "aiming" and shooting.

Cool, cause neither have I. I'm simply trying to point out that the image was created, TO MAKE FUN OF PC GAMERS!!
And I like how I get dumbs when the bluescreen, can be caused by having your computer hacked :colbert:
In all my years of PC gaming my computer Bluescreened Once,Not including times I've experimented
Wii master race?
Even though the PSN network had a greater downtime, it's still better than Xbox live, due to it being free and not full of shitty 10 year fan boys.
But overall, computers are the master race.
Yeah it's free but all console gamers (random people in public servers) I've ever fucking played with were 10 year old fanboys or deliberately fuck up a cooperative game to troll. And thats been for both PSN and XBL for me.
[img_thumb]http://www.mytechtank.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/yellow_light_of_death_fix1.jpg[/img_thumb]

Oh sorry, you were saying?
Gah, no img_thumb is really rather annoying.
you have to put img_thumb in faux
And the Red ring still happens but I haven't seen YLOD problems with PS3 ever, or rarely happens and is due to user error.
My point was that PCs can get killed from more things then a console can.
No problems for me.

Reminds me of my Windows ME days :haw:

PCs don't depend on one host for their games.
Sure if Steam somehow got hacked it would suck but there are still many other things to play through.
Unless the entire country of Pakistan decided to hack every game server in the world, I don't think that's much to worry about.
It is very easy to fix a computer though, depending on the problem. Most of the time you have to send your console back to Sony or Microsoft.
Huh, I thought it was easy to fix the YLOD problem for the PS3
Truth be told I don't know much about the YLOD problem. Just wanted to show that consoles can break too.
And I know they can, I'm not saying they're perfect. I'm just tired of that image, really...fucking tired of it. Because in the end, all platforms have they're fucking issues.

that top left picture is fucking creepy
All I know is the Xbox Website refuses to load up the Marketplace Page.
The article is just over-reacting after the PSN disaster. If XBL was hacked, the entire XBL network would have probably been taken down, not just the marketplace.

A lot of people have never had a RROD/YLOD
So?

what's the deal with the top right
I can access the marketplace again. False alarm.
I doubt it's "hacked" at all. It just went down, this doesn't mean anything, happens a lot.
People said that when PSN when down, and look how that turned out.
Also does xbox live still use your live/hotmail's password or is it completely different? I forget after not using the service in a long time.
Well the store hasn't been allowing me to renew my shitty gold membership for about a month now, so it's nothing new to me.
I can't wait to not be poor and be able to afford a good PC.

y'know all the consolefags and macfags always bring up the BSOD but I have never, EVER in my entire life seen one on my own computer. It must be because I'm smart enough to actually take care of it.

I've seen it three time before, back on windows 95.

I've seen others have the problem but never on my own computers.

Hell if you want, I can bring up the little black box of death or the spinning color wheel of doom :v:
You got a problem if you traded a PlayStation in just because it was PSN free for 20 days.
Nah, I feel xbox live should burn in hell thanks all of it's 12 year old fanboys claiming it's better than ps3 when it got hacked.
But still, PC Master Race
Because NOONE has a reason to use Xbox Live other than to be 12 years old and be a little bitch.
You do realize that some people use their 360's as entertainment systems for movies and music, right?
