I've seen something like this before.
You can really get a bunch of dip shits to actually believe this as a fact. Hell, I could decide any old day to write about heaven in vivid detail, memorize my book word for word, then claim its true and get attention. I'm not saying he didn't see what he did, maybe he really did, maybe he's lying out his ear, maybe its all in his head, maybe he's psychotic, I can't prove whats what, but like I said, easy to get the blind to believe, and easy for anyone to claim if they're determined.
Dreams, and what you perceive in imagery are purely based on ones personality. A flashing light upon dying to me is just that, my death, and eyes going blind from it, the world darkening. To someone deeply religious? Clouds.
"dip shits?"
lol it's just people who want to be happy that good stuff will happen to them when they die
I do kinda beleive in something after death because they say energy is never lost, only goes into a different form (or something) what I and many others want to know is what that is.
That would be fine and dandy if mystical energy existed
And if mystical energy existed I'd have a motherfucking fire staff by now
My concern isn't whether the kid is right or not, but if the parents are making it up for money.
Logical explanation is

It's one hell of a drug.
excellent excellent drug actually
I just imagine death as blackness, but not even that, you just end.
Though I heard of some story about dreaming forever, though the actual dream is only a second long in reality, your brain perceives it to last forever. That'd be awesome.

No that would be torturous.
An easier to understand explanation of death is that it's like before you were born, just without the gradual fuzzy fade to consciousness.

Death is probably going to be the same thing as before birth. You'll have a euphoric rush of DMT that makes you dream up your heaven, some out of body, life changing experience then you will just cease to exist. What makes you human will cease to exist. The atoms that make up your body will live on for eternity and have done so since the beginning of the universe, but you will no longer exist and will be oblivious to that fact.

God dammit zeke.

Ok, semi-religious who are very respectable and reasonable, to psycho's who would through this into an argument and pull some bullshit out their ass like this is 100% factual proof.
What does a miscarried girl look like?
Wait since she was miscarried i'm assuming they didn't baptize the body. I thought in Christianity unbaptized baby's went to hell or was that an old thing that the church changed?

I think they go to purgatory
Aha so the boy went to purgatory!
Sounds interesting, even if you don't believe in this kind of shiz.
One time this chick asked me to tell her a story, so I did. Basically, I got hit by a car, met jesus, but then got resuscitated, but I managed to pull out a lock of hair from him and took it to the real world. She then proceeded to ask me if it was a true story.
I saw his interview with Fox News.
He was so fucking smug I wanted to punch him in his stomach.
I know this was help written by his father but how literary can an 11 year old's account of 'heaven' really be?
4-year old kid is sick, on drugs and his brains are extremely confused.
Claims he had a religious experience.
Make a book and cash in.

So live today as if you only have one shot at life. Live an extraordinary life. embrace what makes you human.
I'm sure his description of Jesus would involve him being a tall white male as portrayed in European paintings adopted as the mainstream look of Jesus in the western world. Sure.
The kid is full of shit, if heaven exists or doesn't it has nothing to do with the facts of this idiots drugged up/made up experience.
His Dad and Mom who swear they have nothing to do with his book are laughing all the way to the bank. His father could have simply explained to him what to say and maybe even told him to write a book on it. Even if his parents for some reason have nothing to do with his experiences, he is still VERY undescriptive and broad.
1:39 in the video "I'm just sitting with the holy spirit..." Ok? What are you sitting on? Why are you sitting in heaven? Why would you want to sit in heaven? Is he in some sort of void? Dreams can feel extremely real, but one thing they lack when you wake up from them are the little tiny details like that, no matter what happens everything just seams normal when it really isn't.
Just a little bit after that at 2:53 "No body is old in heaven." Define old? He mentions that his wings are smaller, thus he is obviously still a child in heaven. Does this also mean the miscarriage is still a miscarriage in heaven?
4:11 to the question "What is heaven like?" his response is "There are a lot of colors, there are a lot of people, and a lot of animals"
Why would animals be in heaven? They are hardly considered rational beings, 99.999999% of species don't even think outside of the present. That doesn't seem that great, it seems like being in a dirty rave club for an eternity.
4:50 "We didn't know it was a she." Can someone in the medical field clarify the outcome of a mis carriage? As far as I know, doctors can predict the sex of the baby, and even after the death and production of the baby, someone was bound to check if it had male or female sex organs. I seriously don't believe that they didn't know the sex of the baby.
The book alone is 8 USD on amazon, this isn't some free written testimony to spread around to help people believe, its a scam the parents or child is doing to get mad cash. The book belongs in the fiction section or the trash.
PS I'm not a heartless bastard. I feel for the kid as I also had life threatening surgery as a child, but I didn't have so much luck other than mad amounts of prescribed drugs and morphine. Even to this day I can remember how doped up I was after surgery.
PSS I know what I'm doing if I ever survive a near death experience! One thing I will be doing is deleting this post and any other traces that will affect my marketability.
I'm fairly sure that after the heart and most parts of the brain stop fully functioning that the area of the brain that controls dreams and the like stays active for something like 8 or 16 minutes or something.
Atleast that's my idea on the whole "Pearly gates with deceased ancestors" phenomena.
"When pastor"
'Nuff said.
The kid should have gone deeper
I'm not one to say there isn't a glorious afterlife where we feast in the hall of the fallen in Valhalla with Odin, but pretty sure this book has no truth to it.

That's not your idea, that's how it is.
Brain shows you dreams to relieve your death.

Also this is a good example on how you can be a millionaire by selling stupid shit to stupid people.

It technically releases large amounts of DMT.
I just imagine death as blackness, but not even that, you just end.
Wheres the fun in that? there is definitely mind blowing shit inside our brain which can only be found in different states of consciousness
exploitation of children is disgusting.
He could have just
I don't know
Had a little something called a DREAM maybe?

The thing is that you, and everyone other person saying it was a dream, have clearly not read the article - which would explain why it wan't a dream.
“But you were in the operating room, Colton,” I said. “How could you know what we were doing?”
“’Cause I could see you,” Colton said matter-of-factly. “I went up out of my body and I was looking down and I could see the doctor working on my body. And I saw you and Mommy. You were in a little room by yourself, praying; and Mommy was in a different room, and she was praying and talking on the phone.”
This kid is full of shit... Coming from a guy who wishes on a small time afterlife sometimes, thats saying a lot... You wanna know what an afterlife is going to be? It'll be the greatest high you'll experience where all your subcouncious thoughts, beliefs, and ideals will fall into place to create your own peaceful world where you can rest at ease knowning you left the world, and you have no regrets. Think of it like a perma-coma if you will. That's the afterlife... But the problem I see with an afterlife like that is their would be no-one to argue with, and if their was ever a thing called, 'reborn' I would definatly take it.

Sounds like Out of Body Experience or Lucid Dreaming. Once again, thought trance... You remince on hearing, and put together picture of what is going on around you.
