I guessing the morgantown/fairmont/bridgeport areas are unaffected?
Fine here in Morgantown, heard Fairmont is okay too. At least their water is.
it seems like a lot of facepunchers live near Charleston West Virginia......
this wouldn't have happened if nuclear was around, the water nuclear powerplants use is like three coolant loops removed from the reactor, that's the steam you see coming out of the towers
that being said cold war top secret reactors often just circulated water directly through the reactor and out into the rivers and such for national security and patriotism.

I think I remember passing through there once though, isn't that place like filled with chemical plants though,
you know bottled water sounds a lot better than you know puking like you have the fucking plague from contaminated water
Somebody poisoned the waterhole.
"idiots buy bottled water"
Yeah, Idiots. This is the MSDS for methylcyclohexane methanol, although detailed information about how it affects humans is not available, this MSDS shows what we do know about this chemical - it's really fucking bad for you, me, and the environment. I have a feeling this spill is going to have long lasting effects on that area. As shitty as it is, we'll have some hard data about it now.
Can't we all switch to solar or gas or oil powerplants? Why hasn't anyone built a fusion powerplant yet?
I'm at Marshall Uni right now in Huntington, WV, we weren't affected by it over here. the South Charleston campus is closed right now though

Because it's surprisingly hard to build a box that can contain a star
bottled water doesn't taste like pipes
Tap water doesn't cost an absolute fortune. You shouldn't be drinking bottled water unless the water coming out of your tap is toxic, as it is in the Charleston area, or it is unavailable entirely. You're wasting an absolute fortune if you do.
And if the taste of the pipes bothers you that much buy a fucking Brita filter. You're still saving an absolute fortune and your oh-so-sensitive palette is free of the tyranny of tap water flavor!

but they're so goddamn slow... if I could purify water directly from the tap, that would be a better option.

There are ones that do just that
I heard on NPR that you can’t use the water for anything, even bathing.
Someone sold over 400 cases of bottled water in 28 minutes with a limit of 2per customer.
Their sisters won't mind.
[Sp]A terrible joke of course, you guys kicked all of those fuckers out. (So, now we have to deal with them) I knew a guy in highschool from West Virginia who would, without exception, always check out his little sister's ass if given the opportunity. Of course, he also checked out everyone else's little sisters too soo…yeah[/sp]
The "do not use" water order has been lifted for the Southridge-Southside area. According to a release from West Virginia American Water, approximately 35,000 customers are now in a safe area.
This is the second area that has opened since 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.

It's still brita technology...
so I invest £300 and it conks out in the second year... That investment goes down the hole.
My tap water in WV has tasted like garbage since I moved here 5 years ago. Those Brita filters are a life saver.
