Can't see shit on the images, and the link is broken.
Drivable dinosaur. Fuck yes.
Nice to see the adults are still kids.
The only one I can see being possible is the 3D printer. We already have them. I suppose its a bit cynical though because 20 years ago I don't think many people thought such a thing would be possible.
I'm 16 and i still want all of them.
The augmented reality thing could add a whole lot of really awesome depth to table top gaming sessions. Just hope your GM isn't that guy. Already moving closer with this.
Yeah, the super cool advanced electronic toys are always the shittiest ones. If I was going to visualize the ultimate toy, it'd be legos, but more of them, and cheaper.
What about exploding legos?
I'm pretty sure half of these are SCPs :v: And the other half would make great ones The living blocks are, and i'm pretty sure the image to object thing is, too.
This is cool, but you already can project your imagination through lucid dreaming.
Yeah but you can't go lucid dreaming all the time not to mention it's tedious to get it started and they don't last long. Not to mention with lucid dreaming you have no awareness of your surroundings in real life, your house might be on fire or you're late for school/work but nope, too busy dreaming. Not everyone can do it either, I really doubt kids even know what lucid dreaming is, much less get it started.
This is cool, but you already can project your imagination through lucid dreaming.
Phones are cool, but you already can communicate with other people with telegrams and morse code. Calculators are cool, but you can already learn to do math and use a slide rule.
I'll take three imagination machines thanks
As our beloved Jaimie knows, one of the near-ultimate toys is an RC battle spider. A rideable-sized one being the pinnacle of toys.
Kinda sucks that most of them are impossible right now. Someone send a picture of that driveable T-Rex to DARPA though, they love that shit.
Kinda sucks that most of them are impossible right now. Someone send a picture of that driveable T-Rex to DARPA though, they love that shit.
I'd say the T-Rex is the most do-able. Though, it'd be kinda expensive to have 20ft tall robotic tyrannosaurs mass produced and sold for kids. And adults. And me. And 90% of Facepunch. The other 10% are soulless and decrepit.
The living lego idea is kind of lame. You could do so much more if it was living clay.
My younger sisters, on the other hand...well let's just say if it got within their grasp, it would soon be in their mouth. :v:
On tonight's episode of Quotes Taken out of Context
I saw these in the February edition of popular science. I like the livable blocks and the driveable dino. [editline]11th February 2012[/editline]
I'm not so sure about how the augmented reality one, the 2d to 3d one, or the print a "pet" one could be used that way. But that driveable t-rex needs a mature rating. God, even thinking about it... it's so sex.
Augmented reality: Make your room the playboy mansion, a stripclub, or nude beach. 2D to 3D: Find picture online, make 3d, fap. Print a Pet: Maybe you print a sex slave lol, or if your into it, a animal to fuck idk.

you guys do know what sarcasm is right
The projecting fantasy seems like one of these: Star Trek already inspired a lot of technology, are we going to get holodecks now, too? And with the 2-D to 3-D I can already see someone drawing a penis and making it an eight foot tall statue in their bedroom.

yes also this is what the living lego reminded me of
Experiment 387-a: A small community of SCP-387 is formed in a testing chamber. A plane constructed from normal Lego was placed to the side of the community. Over the next three (3) hours, the following changes were observed: - Several Legomen procured some equipment from SCP-387, heading over towards the plane. - With incredible efficiency, the Legomen constructed what was, for all intents and purposes, a working airport, the specific pieces having been supplied by SCP-387, without visible signal. - A petrol tank zoomed over to said plane, apparently filled it with fuel (despite earlier observations that vehicles constructed from SCP-387 do not require fuel) and the plane proceeded to literally take off, flying around the room at low speeds and altitude, seemingly to avoid crashing. - More planes, of different make and design, were formed soon after. Addendum 387-1: Judging by this, I’d say that constructions of SCP-387 have some form of understanding of the surrounding environment and they are able to convert existing Lego to 387. – Dr. Arch Experiment 387-e: Once a normal community of 387 was constructed, a small mound of Megablocks (a common copy of Lego) was placed near the community. When this happened, everything constructed of 387 stopped moving, turned slowly towards the Megablocks and [EXPUNGED]. Addendum 387-6: Jesus fucking Christ. - Dr. Arch
Read the whole thing here
Can't decide between Living LEGOs, Print-A-Pet and Augmented Reality.
2-D to 3-D
Just imagine all the annoying weaboos walking around with their high pitched, pink haired waifus.
Six inventors visualize most impossible and expensive toys (that will be bought by adults).
Dear fuck, the imagination one. What if a child fucks up with his talking? Doesn't pronounce it right? "dinosaurs!" a few minutes later "MOMMY HELP AAAH, HELP ME MONSTERS" or even worse he actually says something that includes monsters. "lovecraft" --- "AAAAAAAAAHH AAAAAAAAAAH" bam child scarred for fuckin life
or even worse he actually says something that includes monsters. "lovecraft" --- "AAAAAAAAAHH AAAAAAAAAAH" bam child scarred for fuckin life
I think you mean "bam child is now harbinger of the apocalypse"
Six inventors visualize most impossible and expensive toys (that will be bought by adults).
Don't you dare call the drivable T Rex impossible you'll crush 95% of the world's population's dreams dreams they didn't know they had but still do because come on drivable tyrannosaurus rex what's not to like I just realized what the 2D to 3D 'toy' really is:

These are all cool, except, a kid can do all this with solely imagination. And imagination is not limited by budget, physical boundaries or anything. So thanks, imagination will do.
These are all cool, except, a kid can do all this with solely imagination. And imagination is not limited by budget, physical boundaries or anything. So thanks, imagination will do.
This is like Imagination 2.0
These are all cool, except, a kid can do all this with solely imagination. And imagination is not limited by budget, physical boundaries or anything. So thanks, imagination will do.
That's like saying why have sex when you can just imagine yourself having sex :v:
