The most terrifying part is that he said he'll wait a few decades and if the effects become more real, he'll believe it. A lot of people that currently disregard the science probably feel the same way. But if we wait so long that the effects are that pronounced and drastic, it'll most likely be too late. He doesnt deny climate change, be denies human involvement. This makes his stance even more confusing because he advocates not doing anything. Tell me how much of a good idea that was 20 years from now.

What's double-infuriating for me is the fact that this whole "I'll believe it when I see it firsthand" rhetoric is the #1 reason why so many people get grossly injured, maimed and killed by sheer fucking stupidity.
This is why you trust scientific consensus if you're not properly educated to second-guess it. This is why you don't cling onto your second-guessing anyway even if you think you're properly educated.
